First impression, professional, nice, caring, and a bit of a wise-guy. I knew this is the doctor I wanted to work with.

Second, the staff. I'm a self-pay patient. I've talked to several other centers, most just wanted my cash and take a number. Misty in the office is a complete rock star. Went from "Do you guys do the RNY?" to surgery date in nine weeks. Nine weeks.

Now, the bad? They do leave a lot to you. So if you want someone to hold your hand, they seem like they can but I think you will work better with the surgeon and the group if you are mentally ready (not, oh I'd like to get it....more like can we do it this week)? If you can take care of yourself, you will do great with this surgeon and the group.

Surgery is 7/21/10. Can't wait!

I first me Dr.Clark in October. HE WAS GREAT. He was friendly and direct, very personal and just seemed to have genuine concern for his patient's well being. After meeting with him one on one I felt that he would be the perfect doctor to do my surgery. Not only is he nice but his whole team with St. Francis Bariatrics was nice too. Dr. Clark gave me the choice of what Band I wanted, the LapBand or Realize band. During the surgery Dr. Clark also repaired a Hernia that he found (I didn't even know that I had one.)rnrnOn a scale of 1-10, I definitly give Dr. Clark a 10. Very professional and extremely nice.

At this point, I have no words to describe how dissapointed I am at the lack of after care, the lack of returned calls, and the whole post-op experience period. If I knew this was what I would have to face, I would have NEVER had the surgery.

I greatly appreciate his honesty. My surgery was running very late and all the nurses kept saying things came up in his previous surgeries, he had an emergency come up, etc. but when he came in to see me before the surgery he was honest and apologized for oversleeping and that had set his whole schedule behind.

He has been honest like this throughout the entire process and even apologize to me today for doing something in my prcedure that has caused me some additional pain.

I will use hime again for any surgery and will recommend him to anyone who will listen!

I have only met him once, but he is a really nice person. I felt very comfortable talking to him. He was very informative about the surgery. I will post more when my surgery is over.

I had surgery scheduled with another surgeon but was not comfortable with that decision. After hearing about Dr Clark and meeting him I feel very confident. Dr Clark took the time to explain the procedure and also has a very friendly and kind bedside manner. That is important to me because I want to feel comfortable with talking to my MD. He also greatly emphasized that this is a tool and not a cure-all and also strongly emphasized aftercare. I feel I have made a good decision.

I first met Dr. Clark in the emergency room where I was told I had a large umbilical hernia. He was very calming with a way that made me say \"it's ok to have surgery\" even though I'd never had anything major like that before. My impression of him remains the same. He's always friendly, always has a smile to share, and always encourages me to be all I can be.rnrnHis office staff - from the receptionist to the check out staff - are all wonderful. They act as though they've known me forever! rnrnThere isn't really anything negative I can say about Dr. Clark or his staff. I highly recommend him! He strongly advises aftercare - support groups, seeing the dietician, etc. through the hospital's weight loss center. If I did have to pick ONE thing, it would be that he doesn't spend a lot of time with me on my return visits, but I know he's extremely busy. If I have a concern, he listens.rnrnHe did go over all of the risks of both types of surgery and recommended the lap band procedure. If I had to do it over again - I would - in a heart beat!rnrnOn a scale of 1 - 10 (with 10 being the highest), I'd rate Dr. Clark a 11! His surgical competence and bedside manner are both wonderful!
