Dr. Aguirre, Rosella, and all of his staff were just wonderful. I couldn't have asked for better personal care. They all made this major surgery as easy as possible. Dr. A addressed all of my questions and put me at ease from the start. He was frank and truthful, but also assuring and personable. A friend of mine watched Dr. A, Dr. Estrella, and Dr. Gomez perform my surgery and she was totally amazed at their professional expertise and obvious experience. The nurses were great and saw to my needs before I needed to ask. I never once even rang the bell for them. They kept me very comfortable. I was sent home with a structured aftercare program and a promise from Dr. A that he would be happy to answer any of my questions once I returned home. I would rate Dr. Aguirre and his staff as WONDERFUL!
I am very impressed with Dr. Aguirre as when I called to get information he was very willing to supply all that I needed to feel comfortable. His daughter is very nice as well very funny and professional all in one.
Dr. Aguirre is a very skilled and caring surgeon. I had no complications whatsoever. I couldn't be more pleased with my surgery. He even came to visit me after I was out of the hospital to make sure everything was going ok and I didn't have any questions. His surgery team is the best. Dr. Aguirre is very concerned that he can't have an aftercare program since his patients have to travel so far.
I have not yet me Dr.A as he is called around here on the south of the boarder board. I only here good things i will leave a wonderful revue after my surgery in Sep/2004!
Dr.Madura is so wonderful he is so very honest friendly he makes you feel as if your talking to your best friend.
He is Heaven sent! He answerd all my questions and helped me to feel that everything will be all right and I will go threw the surgery with flying colors and I am perfact canidate for this surgery!

Dr.Prachand was very nice, friendly and I would rate Dr.Prachand and his staff a AAA++++.
I have two surgeons that I am interested in using, one in network and one out of network. I am on the waiting list to attend the seminar for the in network surgeon. He, Dr. Terry Simpson in Phoenix Az is currently on hiatus. I don't know what is going on with him or if he is still going to be gastric surgery. But I don't want to use the three doctors available in network for BC/Bs PPO. I am not really good at waiting, and need to know if there is anything else I facilitate things.

Just a quick update. My spouse changed jobs! So I am without insurance for the next 90 days. Upon completion of that time, I will start the ball rolling again and find out which surgeons are covered by the new company. I have been dreaming of life without the weight. This waiting game is so hard! Keep on praying and I know it will happen eventually. I will update you all upon comletion.

I went with Dr. Aguirre in Ensenada Mx. It was the best choice I could have made. He has done alot of these surgeries, with few complications. I choose him after doing research on line and realizing that I was looking at a lot of battles with Cigna if I could ever get approved through them. Well, I found Dr A on line, after reading profiles here and checking out his website. We decided that is the way to go! The only negative I would give about Dr A is that his aftercare is non existent. Of course he is in MX, but there is no contact after the surgery is completed unless you contact him with questions. He is always ready to answer them, but if you don't know the questions to ask, you don't get the answers you need. I use this website and my PCP to manage my aftercare along with full support from family and work. I would definately do it again, Thank God I don't have to! Good Luck!

I would have no reservations about referring friends or loved ones to Dr. Aguirre. My experience was very positive.
I have only communicated with Dr. Alejandro Aguirre and his daughter Rosella by e-mail. They answered all my e-mail and my questions. I am going to schedule surgery for sometime in April. And thanks to all of you, I have learned a lot about him from your profiles. I think I will be in good hands.

He is a wonderful, caring and very experienced doctor and his staff is very professional.
Rosella Dr. Aguirre daughter is so pleasant and beautiful; she made sure that my husband and I were comfortable before and after my surgery. My whole experience with Dr.Aguirre and his staff I rate as A++++++++++++++++++++++
