I haven't met or spoken to Dr. Aguirre yet. But, I have E-mailed Rosella back and forth. She is very nice & answers all of my questions promptly.
I have not spoken with Dr Aguirre yet only with his daughter Rosella. She is a total sweetheart and answers all my questions no matter how silly very quickly. I can ask her anything and she gets right back to me with answers. I am very excited to get to meet them and to have this team help me to achieve a new me :)
i have not had the pleasure of meeting the doctor in person yet. i have done a lot of digging on this site, however, and the man is either an extremely competent surgeon or he is made of teflon. what i can absolutely attest to is the numerous, timely respones from rosella in his office. she has been very helpful and more than pleasant. this, of course, falls right into line with everything i have read about her. i am absolutely confident the doctor will measure up as well.
So far, I have only spoken Dr. Aguirre's daughter, Rosella, but she has bent over backwards to help me set things up. I have total confidence in Dr. A and his staff.
I had surgery on October 20, 2004 and I couldn't have picked a better surgeon. Dr. Aguirre took the time to explain the surgery to me in detail and answered all of my questions completely. He is a very personable and caring doctor and I felt completely at ease going into the surgery. I had complete trust in his medical team and this trust was not misplaced. My surgery was extremely uneventful (thank goodness) and the aftercare while I was in Mexico was great. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Aguirre for those pre-ops who are considering self-pay. He also has a non-medical team supporting him.
His daughter, Rosella, manages his appointments and handles his bariatric adminstration and the apartments available for surgery patients. She is every bit as nice as her father and really went out of her way to ensure that our needs were being met.
There's also Bambi, the driver who picks you up at the airport if you choose to hire. I recommend that you do. He's a very pleasant, kind man and it's really nice to be met at the airport when you're not familiar with where you are going. The entire team is in touch with each other and everyone did their job beautifully and completely. I have absolutely zero complaints about the surgery and service I received and knowing what I know now, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

My first impression is very possitive. I have spoke mainly by email with Rosella and she is very informative and helpful. She is always very quick to get back to me and answers my questions to the best she can. I have spoke once by phone - also very friendly and helpful. I'm so excited!! Can't wait to get there to meet them all in person. I have some issues with my heart and they insured me that there would be a cardiologist there if any problems were to arise. In fact, surgery is in Cardiomed - a heart hospital!! They had at first wanted me to come in October, but I was unable to make the arrangements for my daughters and they were very understanding and gave me a different surgery date! So, far I would rate them very positive. I am sure my good experience will continue!!!

First impression was excellent. My wife and I made a trip to Ensenada on September 24th, a month before my scheduled surgery (Oct 22nd), to visit the clinic and do a "white glove inspection". We were very favorably impressed with the facilities and the staff. The hospital is well equipped and as spotlessly clean and professionally run as any we have seen. The apartment we'll be staying in is modern and attractively decorated. Dr. Aguirre's lovely daughter, Rosella, made sure that all of our questions were answered and that we were comfortable with the arrangements.
