Dr. Todd is a gift from the heavens. We are so fortunate to
have him in Anchorage. He is warm, caring and attentive. I
would highly recommend him to anyone. Dr. Todd's office staff
is terrific as well! They work together like a team and care for
with true kindness nad respect. I am so thankful to have found
such an endearing bunch of people to walk me through WLS.The staff
is always available to help with pre and post-op questions and
concerns. I feel comfortable calling with those nagging questions
because I know I will be treated with care and respect. All patients
are supported as well with regularly scheduled support group meetings
and opportunities to post on the internet message board. Dr. Todd
and his staff attend meetings and post on the board. The aftercare
program is very supportive, but can only be as successful as the energy
you out into it for yourself. There's a great team to help you on the road
to your new life. At every meeting and appointment, my husband and I had
long lists of questions, which were always answered thoughtfully, patiently
and carefully. We honsetly don't have any negative thing to say - our experience
was excellent, from our first visit in January until now- 17 days post op.

Dr. Todd is a wonderful doctor. I could not have a better one. He is very compastionate with his patients. The "Todd Squad" is wonderful also they all make you feel very welcome. I didn't want to leave the office on my first visit. It's like there is this sacurity blanket on you and you don't want to leave that. I am very very happy with these wonderful people.

First impression was one of relief.
It only got better.
The office staff is very caring and easy to talk to.
That he is in Anchorage and I am on Kodiak.
That he is an amazing, caring, sensitive, wonderful God loving person who really cares about you.
Haven't had the surgery yet, but he has very strong feelings about support groups for people who want, have had WLS.
I would recommend him to anyone who has tried and failed at loosing weight.

My initial consult was on March 4, 2002. The office staff was in the process of improving the workflow and streamlining the intake process. By listening to the feedback and concerns of the patients, they become aware of where they are lacking in efficiency and are working diligently to improve the weak areas. Some disorganization but the overall experience would be rated as very good. Dr. Todd's reputation has become well known and more and more people are being referred to him. Speaking with him, one would immediately know that he is a compassionate human being with empathy for those of us that suffer from morbid obesity. He displayed a calm, even temperment but yet is very honest and open and doesn't sugar-coat any part of the surgery. I have a very clear understanding of what to expect and what will be accomplished by having WLS. Dr. Todd reiterates the importance of support group meetings and his belief that they are important for our long-term success. His involvement doesn't end after the surgery. He attempts to show up at the weekly meetings and joins in on the conversations but mostly he listens and cares. I feel very comfortable with my decision in choosing Dr. Todd to perform my surgery. He has an excellent reputation as a competent surgeon with an added bonus of having a wonderful bedside manner!! What more could one ask for in a medical professional??

My first impression is that he was caring and compassionate. After talking with him, I also considered him knowledgable and competent.
He is friendly, and available for questions and concerns. He has established a practice and gathered a staff that can deal knowledgeably with the issues involved in this surgery. He mandates at least two sessions at a support group that he and his office run, and it a very good group. He made sure that I understood the risks and benefits of this surgery, and does quite a bit of pre-operative testing as well.
He stressed that after care and support group meetings would be very beneficial to long term success.

In one word...I would describe Dr Todd as "comfortable". Maybe even "safe".

I felt so WELCOMED the moment I walked into the office it was amazing. The staff was helpful and even the patients waiting in the office were just so NICE. It set me at ease right away.

When I first met the DR I didn't even know him and he already knew about me. He walked right up to me and asked me how I was with a pat on the shoulder and a quick hug. I was overwhelmed.

So far I could not think of anyone else I would think of having as a Dr.

He makes me feel like I can do it and more so that I will NOT have to do it alone.

Before I had ever seen Dr.Todd I had heard lots and lots of great things about him. Almost too many good things. The only thing I could think of was nobody could be that caring, that wonderful, and so on. After I met him I thought, well maybe. Overall I think it was a very positive meeting and I am looking forward to seeing him again.

I already had a previous impression of Dr. Todd before meeting him because of the online comments from prior patients of his. I am happy to report that my pre-impression is now my post impression also. Dr. Todd is a compassionate man and exhibits the unique quality of empathy and personal understanding of his patients. He definitely desires to see his patients improve dramatically in their quality of life. He appears confident, intelligent, and quite capable of performing his job to a point of excellence. I appreciate the extensive preventitive testing involved in this procedure so as to create the best case scenario for surgical outcome. Dr. Todd's staff are personable, extremely qualified, and quality examples of his work. As I believe surgical competence, bedside manner, and communication/teaching abilities are all equally necessary and important, I would have to rate Dr. Todd and his office a 9.

HE IS A WONDERFUL MAN AND I FEEL VERY FORTUNATE THAT HE WILL BE DOING MY SURGERY,HE JUST LETS YOU KNOW HOW ITS GOING TO BE- VERY POSITIVE DR. I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND HIM.THE STAFF IS ALSO AWESOME.

Working in a hospital, I had heard wonderful things about Dr.Todd. There are other surgeons in the area, but not with the wonderful reputation that he has. When I met him, it definantly proved true. He is a gentle, and caring man. But what impressed me the most is his spirtuality. He believes fully in the Lord, and I like that. His office staff all proved to be be nice, and helpful. I wouldn't have went any where else.
