Doctor Schmit had been very personable, but professional. He just wanted the job done. My impression of him has stayed the same. I don't like that he is always in a rush, but I know that is the course of most doctors.
His office staff has been helpful.
Dr. Schmit is a surgon and that is it, but I must say I wish that there was more aftercare. I will be seeing the nutitionist today and I like that. He did not emfisize the risks but I knew of them because of my own reseach.
I would rate him as a top rate surgion and great at his job, sugury.
I think what is best is the doctors surgical competence, and then his bedside manner.

As of June 14th 2002, My Dr. has stopped practicing with his Medical Group. He has moved back up NORTH, so NJ is very lucky. I miss him GREATLY.

His specialty is Laproscopic surgery. He does it ALL. That made me feel confidante in him cause I knew he wasn't a FACTORY for this surgery. He is very caring and tells you from the VERY begining what to expect of him and the surgery. He is a REAL Doctor. When you visit him it's not in and out. He sits with you til both of you are satisfied. It's like a 60 year old who really cares about his duties. Only he's YOUNG, SINGLE, and makes me wish I was single.......Am I happy with MY doctor, YES!
He is THE GREATEST...

I first met Dr. Schmidth at a seminar. He came across as being very confident in himself which made me feel confident in him.

I have not had a consultation with him yet, it is set for August 22.

Could be more knowledgible, too abrupot on teleophone, and gave incorrect answer about pre-op medication I am on that could be harmful.

Have no opnion about what I lied least about him, didn't meet him one to one.

My first impression of Dr. Schmidt was a good one..At the seminar he was very honest about it all and sure seems to know his stuff.
I am not thrilled with his office staff..but then again they are not gonna operate on me...so I can deal with it.
My mom, my hubby met him at his office and he was relaxed and answered all our questions. Told me up front that I would be in the hospital a little longer because of the diabetes.
I will update again following the surgery.

Well Dr. Schmidt visited me in the hospital,(which is more than some doctors did for their patients)...He answered all my questions and his "fellow" was wonderful to me. I have had my first office visit and all is well...

Dr.Trivedi was very straight foward with me. He would not consider doing the surgery unless he spoke to my lung doctor to make sure that I would not have further complications. At first I was kind discouraged but once Janice called me and told me that she was submitting my paperwork to my insurance. my surgery was May 17 and my hospital stay was great. Dr Trivedi came to me every day and kept my husband informed through out my surgery. He works very closely with the staff of 5 south at Memorial Hospital pembroke. They know exactly what to do with his patients.

Doctor and his staff were extremely professional.
Office staff leave a lot to be desired.

Just had my information session with Dr. Trivedi. My initial impression is he is very nice. He is also very straightforward and doesn't pull any punches. I like that about him. He pushes the aftercare big time. I think we will have a good relationship. I will update as things progress.

My husband and I met with Dr. Trivedi, he is very blunt and to the point, tells you the good and the bad about the surgery. He wants me to have further psychological visits tomake sure that I can handle the "after surgery" problems. At first I was upset, but now I understand, I really do like him, he pulls no punches and lets you know exactly how he feels about your particular case.

4/29/02 - Just got word that Dr. T won't be performing these surgeries after June 14th. Such a shame, he is such a wonderful and caring man! It's not his choice...but that's a long story. I am just so glad that I will be having my surgery! I hope he can refer me to a doctor for aftercare that is just as caring and dedicated as he is!

dr trivedi was informative about the surgery. He almost frightened me. He did a wonderful job in the hospital making sure to stay in touch 2-3 times a day.I am now 10days post-op and feeling great at my first appointment I was down 17 Lbs. and progressed to the full liquid diet. I am never hungry and have to remember to drink. I am drinking 2 protien shakes and 2 flinstone vitamins along with 2 caltrate twice a day. I will keep up on this website with my progress

I have a consult with Dr Schmidt scheduled for January 24, 2002. The appt. was made in June! His office told me surgery would be in April.

1/27/02: I can only echo what I have read on this site about DR Schmidt. He is great to deal with. He was the third DR. I have seen. I feel very comfortable with him as my surgeon.

My first encouter, was via telephone and I was honestly very frustrated with the delayed appt. schedule. Iwas advised that there was a waiting list. However, with my pullmonologist and my internist insistence I was able to move the appt. up. After meeting Dr. Schmidt I was very impressed with his patience, and detailed explanation of the surgery. Ifelt very comfortable with him in charge of the surgery. His staff although professional was rather cold upon initial meeting, however I must admit that after going back a few times post op, has been much friendlier, and approachable. I rate Dr. Schmidt very highly and have felt that the surgery was much easier than I originally anticipate. He has regular atercare appointments, and is easy to reach when questions arise. I feel he was well worth the wait. His surgical competence and bedside manner were both great!
