I went to the lecture and Ewing spoke there, I chose him because of the way he spoke. He spoke clear and to the people there. rnAt the office he was willing to listen and went over all questions with me. When i left i knew I was going to get the lap-band. rnI would say to all the in area and not in the area go to this man, He put me at ease, I ahd the surgery on Jan 16,08 and was back at work 3 days later and now only two weeks later i am walking and riding the bike and feel great.
I only saw him briefly when I first went to the surgical admitting suites. After that I never saw him...lol. I was seen and released by his partner in the operating room. I will be seeing Dr. Trivedi on Jan 29th for my first adjustment to my lap band.
My Surgeon was Dr Trivedi, I found him to be Pleasant, informative, and matter of fact. The office staff seemed hurried, and I think that is because demand is so high for thier services. The waiting area in the office is unpleasant, With many many morbidly obese people, you would think the chairs would be larger or at least you wouldn't seem so cramped. The information they give is is informative, and there are required visits to the office. The mandatory(but included) nutrionist visit is a plus, but she only is there once a week and at 4:00. I was pleasantly surprise how quickly I recovered, with no complications, My surgeon visted me and answered my questions and even asked my husband if he had any questions. I highly recommend the Hospital and Dr Trivedi, and do, to friends and people who ask. He is a most accomplished surgeon and has a wonderful, pleasant bedside manner.
He is a great guy, I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Schnidt seemed very confident and was first seen by me in a group setting at the pre-op seminar. After signing up to meet the Dr. and awaiting my appointment I spent time asking some questions about him with some folks who know about the hospital and his reputation. I also carefully reviewed the pre-op info package given to me at the seminar. When my meeting with the Dr. took place I was even more assured I had made the right choice for choosing him as my surgeon. All my pre-op fears were quieted. Dr. Schmidt's office and staff are both accomidating calming and helpful. The doctor spent plenty of time explaining each step to be taken. What He and his staff would do and what my responsibilities and aftercare would be. All possible risk factors were dicussed and my confidence in him and in going on with the operation was reinforced.
Dr. Schmidt is wonderful, he has helped to change my life, His office staff is wonderful very helpful. He was very detailed with the surgery the risks/ and of course the risks in not having it done. His aftercare program seems to be great so far. His surgical competence and bedside manner are both great.
He was a very helpful guy and not judgemental in any way, which is something I experienced with one surgeon I considered. I've seen him in passing and met with him at appointments and his demeanor has never changed toward me. He never acts too busy to say hi or in a rush. He always makes time to say hi and ask how I'm doing. His office staff is kind and helpful. I can truthfully say that I don't dislike any situation I have had with him. Future patients should know that he is a great surgeon to use and that it is worth flying to NJ to have the surgery with him. He personally did not emphasize aftercare, but through all the methods made available to me through his practice, I understand the importance and have adhered to it. He does have a structured aftercare program. His practice suggests a 6-8 month frequency for return visits. They also organize a support group which I have neglected completely through my own lack of time. He explained to me all the risks involved with this surgery and was actually able to show me how the band would work inside my body. This is also explained in the seminar they require new patients to attend. He is in my opinion the best bariatric surgeon in NJ. I can't speak for the United States, but I would recommed him over all others. He is surgically competent and provides great beside care after surgery. He is truly a great surgeon and I couldn't have been made to feel more comfortable with him before surgery.
He was wonderful! He is so sweet and understanding and he explained everything completely! His staff was very helpful, especially in getting my PATs sent over in time because there were some complications because of the lab. I would give him a 9...only because I dont want to jinx it!
