Right off the bat, I liked Dr. Schwartz. I trusted him, because he and his partner came so highly recommended. He spoke at my initial seminar and disclosed that he had a gastric bypass several years ago himself! In my initial surgical consultation he answered many questions and told me what I needed to complete in order to have the surgery. He was thorough and very helpful and patient with all my questions. rn Dr. Schwartz is very careful to have the best surgery possible. He prides himself on the success rate of WLS at Minneapolis Bariatric Clinic. He has every intention of keeping it a Center of Excellence for WLS. I think he is both a consummate professional and technically, and excellent surgeon. He is very personable, as well. Have both the surgical competence and the likable bedside manner are a rare combination. The program at the clinic is thorough as well, and I will be followed there for years to come.

I was impressed with Michael Schwartz the first time I met him. He was very easy going and non-judgemental. Those in his office worked hard to make sure they met all my needs while still holding me accountable for things I did or did not do. They are very easy going.rnrnI realize that a review of something that is all good is suspect, but to be honest I cannot, at this time, identify anything that was negative about my experience.rnrnAfter care was considered just as important, if not more important, as the surgery itself. It was made clear to me by the Dr. that it works only if I make it work.rnrnOn a scale from 1-10 I would have to give him a 10. I was even late for my surgery and he calmed my nerves and said it was just fine.rnrnBoth his bedside manner and surgical skills were good.

I really like my surgeon- he was very nice to me when I first met him and spent a good 45 minutes with me and answered all my questions. I really felt at ease with him and was especially impressed when he said to me \"I will do everything perfectly on my end. If you do what you are supposed to do, you will be 100% successful\" That was very reassuring to me especially because he speaks with experience. Not only has he been doing WLS for many decades, he also had RNY himself! I would reccomend him to ANYONE looking for a surgeon! And his office staff is amazing as well. Every time I call or come in, they treat me as though I am the only patient in the world. They are kind and considerate and always welcoming and I couldnt ask for nicer people to be on my team during this journey!

I love my surgeon! He is warm and comfortable and yet can crack a joke. He was very down to earth and made me very comfortable during the consult. I work at the hospital I'm having my surgery done and I could not have picked a better surgeon to do my procedure. I'm very impressed at how professional yet warm and compassionate everyone is. I wasn't sure at one point if I had fallen through the cracks and not made all the appointments I was supposed to or submitted the right paperwork. I was immediately reassured that I had and we were on track. rnrnDr Schwartz definately knows what he's doing. It felt very good that he made it a point that they will be following me for life.. So I should have no worries down the road. I think he has VERY high surgical competence and his bedside manner is warm and caring.

My first impression of Dr Drew... that he is busy very professional and good at his job and informing you with the information that you need. Biggest point I asked some hard questions and he gave me an honest answer.rnrnrnHow did my impression change over time...the next time I saw him we had more of a dr pt connection we joked and laughed. rnrnOffice staff...AMAZING from the front desk to the back staff everyone is friendly and they always remember my name.rnrnAftercare.. aftercare is engrained in every staff member they will work hard to get you there to get you the best care and resultsrnrnAftercare program..they have a good solid aftercare program.rnrnDr Drew is a 10 both surgical competence and bedside mannerrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrn

My first impression of Dr. Schwartz was that he was very professional. I have only seen him one time so far so I cannot comment further at this time. He came HIGHLY recommended by several people I know that have had surgery by him. The staff at HealthEast Bariatric are great-they are enthusiastic, helpful and caring. They know the answers to my questions. Mary, the insurance specialist, is well informed and VERY helpful. The program is VERY thorough and requires A LOT of prep, research and follow-up. They really want you to know what is involved in the decision to have weight loss surgery and make sure you are clear that it is a TOOL not THE ANSWER. I have been to appointments of all types including dietician, mental health and even physical therapy! I have been required to attend support groups for post and pre-op patients which I find are a GREAT tool to answer questions. Dr. Schwartz has had the surgery himself and he does specify that it has risks as well as rewards. I believe in his surgical competence (as told by friends) and I hope is bedsice manner is equal to his skills. I look forward to the extensive aftercare and help with this surgery and I am pleased to have chosen this clinic!

Dr. Drew is amazing!! He is patient, kind, and very concerned with making sure you are prepared for this life change!! He took great care of me!

I had worked at the hospital years back and had heard Dr. Drew's name thrown around quite a bit, so when it came time to pick a surgeon, I just went with what I knew. I'm glad I did! He was funny, warm, genuine, and very thorough. The office staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. I was told the risks of surgery and signed consent forms at my initial consult. I think a good surgeon has equal parts surgical competence and bedside manner and Dr. Drew is the epitome of that! I feel blessed to have such a talented group of people on my side.

Dr. Drew is so calming and soft spoken. He is a true professional and I am so happy my surgery is being done by him!
