My prime surgeon is Dr. Schwartz, Dr Drew's partner. I have had my consult and he is a very nice man. Takes his time, gave me plenty of opportunity for questions. He was considerate and just a very nice man. His wife, Judith, does all the paperwork and scheduling. She is also very nice and extremely knowledgable. While we were waiting for Medica, she just kept asking "what can I do to help?" Dr. Schwartz come highly recommended and I can certainly understand why. He is top notch!

Met Dr. Drew, very kind hearted man and I felt very comfortable with him.

Dr Drew is wonderful and extremely thorough & cautious. He postponed my surgery to do further testing and an additional consultation with an neuroologistsince I have a history of stroke. I believe his caution may have saved my life.

He took all the time I needed in my consultation to answer all my questions and to make sure I understood that the surgery is a tool and not the miracle cure in and of itself. His staff is great too!

Dr. Drew is very patient, concientious and gentle. He has an excellent bedside manner, is well informed and willing to spend time explaining the process and listening. Being that I am employed in the health care industry, I have learned to be extremely judgemental when picking any type of doctor for any procedure because of what I've seen and have experienced. Dr. Drew has exceeded my expectations.

Dr. Drew was refferred to me by a family who had this surgery and successfully lost 200 pounds in one year. When this family memember decided to have the surgery, he asked a friend who works for an HMO who the top doc for gastric bypass was/is in the Twin Cities. From an HMO point of view, Dr. Drew had the least amount of side effects, best patient results and greatest return on investment. Thus, Dr. Drew has more than proven himself to be an excellent surgeon.

Additionally, the office staff is extremely supportive and puts on an informative, useful General Information Workshop and walks you through the whole process. The prepartion for surgery was absolutely painless.

My only regret is that the surgeon's office does not have a support group for patients to attend while dealing with the aftermath of surgery and the recovery from food addiction.

Dr. Michael Schwartz is actually my surgeon.
He and Dr. Drew work together in performing
the lap-RNY. I was very impressed with
Dr. Schwartz. Even after attending the
orientaiton on the process, he still went
over almost all of the information. I
especially liked Dr. Schwartz because he
displayed a deep passion for his work with
the obese. The staff was very friendly, up-
beat and enthusiastic. I am looking forward
to working with Dr. Scwartz, Dr. Drew and
the rest of the staff.

Met with Dr. Drew on 8/13. He talked to me for an hour and a half. Very thorough. Explained everything to me including information that was covered in the first meeting I went to. Gave me statistics of surgery/risks then his personal outcomes with his own patients. Only shortcoming so far is his newness to lap procedure but at worst case scenario if I have to be opened that is fine too. Even told me to come back and meet with him again if I had more questions. Wants his patients to be sure.

Extreemly caring, patient man! He inspires trust and confidence. He is very experienced with wls and he knows how to make his patients feel comfortable, listened to and understood. He does both the open and the lap RNY procedures. Fantastic staff as well!
