Today is Saturday, Sept. 9th and I just recieved a call from Terry, Theresa's husband. Theresa is progressing but not with great speed. Terry said she finally was able to take a step or two today. He said they were thinking about putting her in a nursing home for rehabilitation. He saidthat could be from two months to six months depending on her progress. She is now off pain medication. I asked about her weight loss and he said she looks like she's lost. I am sure that after more than a month in Crawford Long hospital she surely has lost quite a lot. Not that thefood is bad, but she was on a IV for such a long time. He said they are constantly getting on to her to eat so she will regain her strength. She told him that they bring her breakfast and two hours later a snack, then lunch and two hours later a snack, then supper and later a snack. As a WLS post-op I don't know where she's putting all this food, but Terry says she throws most of it up.Bless her heart. Please everyone who reads this post, keep Theresa in your prayers. She's come so close to death so many times I have to believe that all of our prayers have saved her so she can return to being a loving wife and mother.I hope to be able to go meet her sometime this next week. Terry said he and son will be spending the night at the hospital tonight just to be close to her. Isn't that the saddest thing. Pray you guys for them.
