Teresa has been having terrible pain. We all were encouraging her to get out of bed and walk and she would feel better. Well yesterday after her shower she noticed blood in her drainage tube. She called the doctor and was told to come see him. She made the long uncomfortable trip to Gainsville and was admitted. Her doctor said from the xrays he felt he would have to go back in. Wednesday he did operate on Teresa and thought he would repair her naval hernia as he was unable to do so during WLS. When he got in, he found something wrong with her intestines. He never did complete her hernia repair, and Teresa is in intensive care on a respirator. Her situation looks grave at this time. He says she will be in there for at least 3 days and on the respirator. Her step-mother Sylvia called me to do this update and to tell all of Teresa's friends to pray for her. We all have put Teresa in God's loving hands andd I know he will take care of her. Will keep everyone posted at this site on her progress.

I Just spoke to Teresa and she seems stronger than yesterday. She is now walking in the hall but got dizzy and had to go back to bed. She says she doesn't have a ng tube which is good. Her doctor told her her gallbladder was full of stones, thank-goodness she won't have that to hurt her anymore. She says they are going to keep her until Sunday. She's worried to death about not being able to e-mail Nancy, so I hope Nancy is reading this and is following her progress.

Hi All, I spoke to Teresa today and she sounds good. She said she had to go down for a test of some sort and is unable to stand and she is concerned. I told her not to be overly concerned the day of surgery because of strange reactions from the anesthesia. I will be anxious to talk to her tomorrow. She is very tired and doesn't know when she will be coming home. She says she's not leaving until she can walk!! I told her they wouldn't send her home if she came in walking and now she can't. I will post more tomorrow.

Dear Friends of Teresa, Today was Teresa's big day and she came through with flying colors according to her nurse Patricia. I waited on a call from Terry as long as I could, but finally called and spoke with her nurse. I am sure she was in everyone's prayers as I know she was in mine.
