merry christmas everyone! it's been a while since i've posted. as kirsten said, jeremy's white blood count has gone up... it was 35,000 yesterday, but is now 30,000. the bed sores on his back are Horrible! one is a Huge black spot (dead skin from no circulation) and the other is a gaping hole. it's very scary, but they claim they are doing the best they can to treat it with ointments. i found out tonight that he has some dead tissue around his incision, too. his heart rate is up in the 140's and his blood pressure dropped to 80/45. i am thankful this christmas to have jeremy with me, but it was still depressing today. he slept most of the time. i do his physical therapy twice a day and the therapist comes in a few times a week to work with him, too. all in all, things could be better and they could be worse. i just wish his progress wasn't taking so long. the kidney doc was in today and said that there is no improvement on his kidneys at all... but that could be from the unkown infection he has. also, my brother-in-law is taking care of the house in martins ferry and will be taking trips to columbus about every week. so any more cards sent for jeremy should be sent to the house... they will get to us. his brother told me to mention that we received the card from the alabama board with the walmart gift card in it... thank you very much. :-) we will get it from him the first of the week. ^,^ we are now in the "unverferth house" which houses families of cardiology patients, but we were on the list and finally got in. it is great and much closer! i want to thank everyone who has helped us :-) this certainly is a wonderful christmas, because i have seen the love of strangers like never before :-) i will pass it on throughout my life. that's about it for now. merry christmas again!
love,
robbi
