hello. jeremy is kinda of getting worse in a way. he has an infection in his lungs that is Very bad. they said there is only one known antibiotic for it, and so far it isn't working well. his white blood count is stuck at 22,000. they will send his culture to the mayo clinic and see if they can come up with a combination of antibiotics that work better... but that will take time. so now jeremy is in isolation (we have to wear gowns and gloves when we visit him). he will be moved up to the 11th floor this week as soon as a room is available. it is the micu. jeremy is in the sicu, but muscarella said he has no more surgical problems, which is great. so basically, it's all just a waiting game. the lung doctor's said "i Hope he gets better"... because there are no other options. :( jeremy just wants to go home. he still looks good and everything. he is very scared and it's so hard to calm him down. i was really praying we were out of the woods, but i guess we're still in them. keep praying everyone... jeremy is my miracle. he has come too far. love, robbi

hello everyone. jeremy is doing about the same. his white blood count came down to 22,000! :) they did a scope down his trache today to check for the infections and they took a sample for culture. so in a few days we might hear some news... hopefully good news. also, something great: i emailed the obesityhelp magazine department and told them about jeremy... and they want to feature him :) i don't know much about it yet... they said something about having a reporter get ahold of me, so we'll see what happens. hope it is soon. if anyone has any info on how that works, it would be great to know. everything else is the same. jeremy looks great and hasn't thrown up yet today =^,^= i'll keep you updated. love, robbi

heyyo! jeremy is doing pretty good today. we found out that he has pneumonia. so that is why his white blood count is so high (25). he has no fever, which is great and all of his other numbers are doing just fine. his vent was turned up, but that is okay, because he needs it. they are basically waiting for him to get off of the vent before they send him upstairs (micu). muscarella took off the gortex the other night and he said it looks good (i haven't seen it yet). i guess a layer of tissue has grown over the insides (under the gortex) so his intestines won't be "popping" out, which is what scares me. :P they will take out the feeding tube in his big tummy sometime this week. jeremy is still vomiting a bunch... i dunno why. other than that, things are still great, because jeremy looks good. today he tried on his wedding ring and it fell off. so it is working! he is my loser! :) lol. he said he feels like he is losing weight, which is great also. my mother in law said there are some cards at the house for jeremy and i want to thank alexis grant, mary boston and cheryl n. for their generous gifts. everything helps us to stay with jeremy and it is greatly appreciated. i will keep you all updated and jeremy will keep getting better! love, robbi...ps: dad said "hey" buh buh buh boo.
