Yay Sun !!!! It's amazing how a little sunshine makes a huge difference in your mood. I've been in the dumps for a few days, but today I went shopping. Sunshine and shopping, 2 of my favorite things. I bought a robe and pair of slippers. I went to GNC. They had Designer Whey protein powder ( the kind that tastes like a Creamsicle). It was kind of pricey, so I decided to stay with the Profect for now. I also looked for a chewable Calcium Citrate, but they did not have any. I guess I'll stay with the Citrical Petites I bought. My nurse from Priority Health said I won't be taking them right after surgery anyhow so they should be fine. I also ordered a medic alert bracelet (from www.laurenshope.com ) and some of that yummy Davinci Sf syrup (rasberry, watermelon, & pancake). I bought some birthday presents for Olivia. Her birthday is Saturday. We are going to "High School Musical on Ice" tomorrow with one of her friends Sammi. That should be fun. The steroid injection I got in my back has made me extremely hungry all the time. So the diet is not going well. I'm just going to keep trying. Good news though, NO back pain right now. Have a follow up and another injection on Apr 14th. The kids are driving me nuts. I can't wait for them to be able to be outside more. Nathan got his first filling today. It broke my heart, but now he knows why I tell him to brush his teeth all the time. I'm addicted to "American Idol" again. I really like the rocker, David Cook. Well, enough for this therapy session. Be back soon.

I went to the support group meeting tonight. I feel much better about everything. I got to meet some of my special friends from here in person and I listened to a speaker talk about how to deal with stress. She said several things, but FOCUS ON ONLY THINGS YOU CAN CONTROL really hit home with me. I can't control my surgery date, but I can control how ready I am when the time comes and how I will spend the time leading up to then. I'm sure I will still have anxious moments, but for right now I am good. I feel a little renewed about my diet and am not going to beat myself up about little mistakes.

Thursday I got a steroid injection in my spine for my back pain. The doctor was very chatty and nice. They gave me a little Versed and it was done. I'm so glad I didn't feel it. The first couple of days I was really really sore, but today I feel great. I worked 25 hours this weekend and usually I can't move at this point. Still have to go back for a follow up injection, but they are going to get me through until surgery and then hopefully the weight loss will relieve most of the arthritis pain. This makes me really really happy!!!
