Angel Update~*~ I just spoke to Larry and there has been a turn in events. Seems a portion of Larry's incesion has become infected and had to be opened back up and packed. Larry is in good spirits and is doing well otherwise. He asked that you not worry about him but to pray that he will heal soon. Larry will be in the hospital for another week. Hang in there Larry!!!!!!!

Angel Update ~*~ Larry was not able to have the leak test today. There was a problem with his size and the x-ray, so, he will not be allowed any liquids for 2 MORE days. He is feeling much better. He has lost 43 lbs. since his surgery 6 days ago!!!! He is up and walking around his room at will. It looks like now that it will be Wednesday before Larry is discharged.

Angel Update ~*~ Larry is doing well. He was put in a regular room yesterday and was allowed to stand up for a minute or so. He is still extremely thirsty as he has not been allowed anything by mouth since his surgery this past Monday. His hip is still bothering him and makes resting very uncomfortable. I just spoke to him a few minutes ago and today has been a day of progress. Larry's cath was removed as well as one of his abdominal drains. He is walking around his room and sat in a chair for a couple of hours today. He is scheduled for a leak test tomorrow morning and if this goes well he will be allowed clear liquids then. Dr. Husted is aiming for Larry's discharge to be Sunday or Monday. Yeah !!!!! Go Larry

Larry, I am sorry to hear of your problems after surgery. But happy to hear that things are going better for you now. I hope this continues and you will soon be back home. A WLS friend,

~*~ Angel Update - Larry is still in ICU. His urine output has been low so the doctor is wants Larry to remain in ICU for closer observsation. It is very likely that Larry will be in a regular room tomorrow. He has been sitting up in bed but has not been up to walk yet. Hopefully he will tomorrow. He is doing well...he WANTS water!!! He is on water restriction until Saturday.....5 long days....Oh poor Larry, that is rough!! hang in there Larry!!
