Remember to drink your water, take your vitamins, walk daily and most importantly, be gentle with yourself along the way. Lastly, don't forget to stop by occasionally and update your profile. FIRST TIME ANGEL POSTING!!! Oh my gosh…I’m so nervous as I’ve never been an angel before! My new wls friend, Julie, has given me the honor of being her angel and now I need YOUR HELP. She has less than 1 week until surgery (Friday, 4/19) and leaves for the hospital this Wednesday! Julie is traveling over 6 hours from Central California to Southern California to have her open RNY surgery, and will be staying in a hotel down there for a week post-op. She is so brave to be doing this all by herself, as her husband has to stay home to care for their two very young children. She will be at Torrance Memorial for at least 2 days, and would appreciate any visitors. So, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE if anyone is in or near the Torrance, CA area, stop in and check on Julie! Also, please show her your support by posting a message to her surgery page. As she is leaving for L.A. on Wednesday, we don’t have much time left! I’d like her page to be completely filled…please help me be a good angel…don’t delay, act today! And, for those of you who have already posted to her page, THANK YOU so much!

Hi Julie! It was great talking to you on the phone today…looking forward to meeting you at the local support group meeting. I feel so honored that you’re allowing me to be your angel! It will be my first time, but I will try my best to do a good job. I will be thinking of you and praying that your surgery goes smoothly with a quick and easy recovery. You should be very proud of yourself for taking this brave step…I know it’s not easy to do things alone. I only wish you weren’t going so far so that I could have visited you in the hospital! But, hopefully my mom will be able to drop by and check up on you. Best wishes and good luck! In less than a week you’ll be on the lighter side and on your way to becoming a “skinny minny.” *smile* I’m so excited for you!
