My family and I want to express our deepest regrets and sympathy for John's family. Our son Christopher was a student of John's and we just found out about his passing. Know that he had such a positive effect on our son and all those students who's lives he touched. He loved those kids and was always there for them. We counted him also as a friend and this has deeply saddened us. Knowing that he is standing in the presense of a loving God brings us joy, though he will be missed. May God comfort you and ease your grief at this time. As much as John was loved here on earth, his father in heaven loves him even more. Mickie, Albert and Christopher Olivares

Dear John’s Family, I send you my deepest sympathy at this time and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Although I did not know John, I knew of his struggles to have this surgery. John’s passing has made me realize just how blessed I am to be able to have this second chance in life and I will forever be grateful for this gift that has been given to me. John, I know we did not know each other but may you rest in peace as you sleep with the angles.

To the family of John: My most sincere condolences. What a remarkable man to have left a lasting impression on so many people. I had the opportunity to meet John at 3 different OH events and I think he had the most gentle soul of anyone I have ever met. He was an incredible friend to so many and will be sorely missed. We love you John!

To Mom...Janice, Terri & Laura.....Thank You Thank You for allowing us to spend time with you and remembering John. We will never forget and I hope you continue Johns love for OH and pop in now and again. We have such fond memories of John and will never forget the peanuts at Christmas time. You guys have such a bond and loving family that I am envious of. Please accept our condolences and know that if there is anything Lee and I can do......we will come running. I am so sorry for the loss of John and my heart goes out to his family. I never met him but what I have read so far know that the WLS surgery was something he had wanted for a long time. It looks like he had many many friends here on this website and will be truly missed. Mickey

To John's family-Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I pray that God gives you all strength. John was a very special friend to all of us here...he was our family. Thank you for sharing him with us. He was loved, and he will be deeply missed.

I can't believe that this man was so close to his heart's desire, only to have it taken away from him. I can only believe that the Lord's ways are beyond our understanding, and that there IS a purpose to everything.... May God's comfort be close at hand to John's family. Lori
