My heart hurts to hear of such a loss. John will be truly missed among the California board. All that John has done for Obesityhelp has been amazing, what a kindred soul. He was a giving person and will not be forgot. My prayers are with his friends and family during this extremely hard time.

"Tears cannot erase the pain of death. Only time has that talent." I'm afraid I only have the tears tonight. I feel privileged to have been able to meet you, although briefly, at last year's National Convention. And to chat with you occasionally online. You were a wonderful human being, and you will be an even better angel! I send my sincerest condolences to John's family and his students. This will be very hard for them, but John is free from his health problems. Not in the manner he had planned, but free nonetheless. As I posted to Luanna...I think a child has just been born into the world with a gentle nature, who will be non-judgemental and supportive to his peers, and who will write poetry. I hope to meet that child someday. Thanks for the memories, John. Stagedoor Debbie

John Ott was my friend for over 30 years. I am at a loss for words other than to say that a part of me died tonight as well. Johnny, say Hi to your Dad and my Mom for all of us! I already miss you! Doug

To John's beloved family and friends, It is with a heavy heart that I post this to you this evening. It is my feverant prayer that as you walk threw the sorrow you have embarked upon you will feel the love and gentle spirit of those around you. There will be no more pain in John's life, his heart, his body. Heaven got a lil' bit brighter today. OH has yet another Angel looking down upon it's members. It is my prayer that you will be able to find peace and solace in this devasting time of dispair. Love - The Gardiner family (James, Gala, Abi and Bryant Gardiner - Cottage Grove, WI)
