Justin, Your words of encouragement to my surgery page meant more to me than you can know. Please hang in there and accept the encouragement back that you so graciously give. Know that we are all pulling for you. My day is Friday, and I take comfort that you will be thinking of me on that day. Angela in Alaska

Justin, Don't be so hard on yourself. You may be at a point where you are not losing, but hey, you have lost 130 lbs. How could you have done that without WLS? I know, because I was over 500 lbs. too. So what if you have quit losing for now. All that means is that you will have to be more structured than before and watch what you eat more closely. I don't recall anyone telling me that WLS would do all the work for me and that I wouldn't have to contribute to the success of losing the weight. I was told that it is a tool to help you lose the weight. I know that I am always going to watch what I eat. You should focus on that and pick up your boot-straps and keep marching forward. You can get there, it is only going to take an extra effort. Don't be a quitter. I know that I have been one in the past and as bad as you may feel now, when you quit trying, you will feel so much worse. Take a look at all the support you have on this board and use that to help you. Roll Tide!!!

Justin, It is most unfortunate that you did have a complication that is almost ever mentioned to you as a pre op. But this feeling that you have failed will just not do. You can not say that you are a failure with a lose of 130lbs. God brought you through the surgery, to this site and to this place in your life for a reason. That reason is not to surender and feel sorry for yourself but to show the determination and will that you possess. If you just make the effort God will take care of the rest. After reading a quite a few peoples profiles, I do know that with a large stoma you still can make it to your goal weight. This is all up to you, you have already made the first step don't stop now. You have too many friends on this board that will be here for you when times get hard and you think that you can't make it. Come on Justin lets do this together, dig your feet in and get ready for the second half of your life. I will walk that mile with you. Just let me know what you need. Peace.

Justin-Don't give up because of what one doctor says, there are others out there. The wls surgery is just a tool and in the few months since your surgery you have learned so much, keep working with that new knowledge and you will continue to succeed. You are young, strong and couragous and have been an inspiration to many. Don't give up hope just yet, pick yourself up and dust yourself off and get back in the gave. We need you. Love ya Maureen in TX
