Shannon, I too am in WA state and have just discovered this site. There are not many of us. They say WA is a pretty fit state. Ha. Anyway, I am thinking of surgery in Coeur d'Alene Id. Good luck

Hi Shannon...Welcome to the site...explore it thoroughly and read EVERYTHING you can, both good and bad, before you make your decision...that decision is yours to make...I made mine and had surgery 9-16-02 and have lost 90 lbs. and am very happy and still going down...BUT it is not for everyone...just make sure you do your research...and in whatever way, any of us can help you, just ask. Hi Shannon I promise that you will find this website most helpful. I just don't know what I would have done if I had not found it I have read so many stories that have let me know that I am not alone in this journey and that wls can and will work for me just have faith and God will pull you through he has a plan for increase in our lives. remember that you are never alone. my date is 3/18/03

Welcome Shannon I too am just starting. i have an appointment for my first Dr. visit, but not till Sept. I'm trying to do a lot of homework abour WLS while I wait.
