I am awaiting insurance approval. This was a hard decision to make but I want a better life. They just found out I have sleep apnea and will need a cpap. Research everything you can. I am surprised there aren't more books on gastric surgeries. Good luck and Keep in touch! - Debra

Welcome Shannon to Obesity Help. You have come to the right place for support, info, encouragement, friends and a NEW family. Everyone here is so wonderful.. And be ware it gets to be an addictive site. Good Luck on your journey. I finally after three months got my surgery date. It is June the 20th. I hate the waiting part. That is the worse. Welcome! I haven't been here in a while, I have been soooo busy! I had surgery a year and a half ago....I have lost 85 pounds and I feel so much better! I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, so I know I don't feel as good as I could if I didnt' have these probs, but I am not complaining. I can do a lot more than I used to be able to do and for that I am extremely Grateful!! I have God and Dr. Felix in Fresno, California to thank for that! Were are you in this process?
