Sarah, I am praying for you to heal from this infection, and may God comfort you. :)

Well last Monday I finished my IV antibiotics at home and was cleared by me doctor on Wednesday. Then Saturday night my leg began to hurt and I had a temp of 99.5 which rose to 100.8. Luckily my doctor makes sure I have oral antibiotics at home to take right away until she can see me. This Monday she arranged for a new IV antibiotic for me to receive at home...blessed by having had a mediport put in. So today was the first day I administered it myself, I have 14 days, pray this clears up the infection so that I can have my surgery April 7th.

Sarah, Yes the incision is just below the breast bone to just above the top of your naval. just remember when you lose the wt and have a panniculectomy (removal of excess skin) they will move your belly button so it will reduce your scar line. Best wishes on your upcoming surgery. Tamara

Sorry to hear about your cellulitis. I was two days from surgery in December when I came down with cellulitis with a temp of 103 and blood pressure of 75 over 45. I ended up in Intensive care for a day while anitbiotics were put into my body. On a positive note I just got home from the Hospital with the Open RNY. I know it is disappointing, but you can overcome this. Think Positive

Disappointing news...I was unable to have my surgery because the cellulitis in my leg came back and I developed a fever. This all happened within the time I was waiting in the hospital to be taken down to surgery. I will write more about what has happened since then in my profile. My new date is April 7th, I keeping my fingers crossed that there will be a cancellation and it can be sooner.
