OMG, OMG, OMG!!! I just had the most amazingly sweet thing happen to me! First, thank you so very much to Takeysha Duarte. See, Takeysha had an appointment with my surgeon for next Tuesday. But she has decided that she is going to change surgeons/programs. So she emailed me this morning to ask me if I would like to take her appointment slot. And of course I said no; NOT!!! So, she called Dr. Robinson's office and they said okay and now my appointment is five days away, instead of two and a half weeks. I'm so flabberghasted! I can't believe how excited I am right now. Thank you Takeysha. God Bless you and everyone on this journey. Let us remember these small victories when we are feeling defeated. Love to all, Robin :-)

Hi Robin, I have an appointment with Dr. Robinson for 10/9. I am going to cancel it. Would you be interested in taking that appointment? I haven't cancelled it yet and I dont even know if we would be able to do that but if you are interested it would be worth a try.

Robin, the road to surgery is a long and tedious one, but definetly well worth it. Good luck to you in your journey, and see you on the other side!

Robin - Welcome to the AMOS board! I'm a pre-op member here too (my surgery is scheduled for Sept 17th!) and have found that it's very helpful to read as many profiles as possible. (I also struggle with degenerative arthritis in my back, knees and one ankle and am hoping to find relief after WLS.) I’ll warn you now that this site is addictive! In preparation for my surgery I’ve spent the last several months copying and pasting things that resonate with me, post-op tips etc. into my own file. The road to WLS can be a long and bumpy one and I know that it sure is nice to have your AMOS family along for moral support! Most people around here are very friendly and I pray that you will always feel at home here. May God bless you in your journey - I hope you will be posting news of your own progress before too long!
