"I was told that i would be on a Bariatric Floor ( I wasn't just a gen abd surgery floor), I was told that I would have a Private room (even requested it) did'nt receive it,I Did not feel as though I was given good patient centered care while I was a pt.As a new post-op abd pt nothing was put within my reach not the phone or call light or even water cup.I felt that being just fresh from sugery that they would make sure to move pt around in the bed as to prevent PE's and the likes, but I was not offered a move for several hrs. I relize that people get busy with new pts arriving and all but it should not take an avg of 25-32 mins to get things you asked for. I felt that was to long of a response time. I personally will not choose OSU in the future for any of my care needs."
"I was very impressed with Dr Mikami from the start, He made me feel very relaxed during the meeting.At no time did I feel rushed at any point he answered all my questions showed me all the drawing that i wanted to see of how my new pouch would be, he addressed all my concerns about pain and aftercare. His staff was very nice and helpful.He fully explained all the risks and all the benfits of my surgery.He emphasizes the importance of follwing his aftercare instructions and future followup appts so as to get the most oout of my recovery and future weight loss.
