Hmm my story. . .  Let's just start with the facts.  I'm 33 (soon t be 34 in October 2011), Army wife, Army veteran, mom to 2 beautiful children and two dogs (though sadly one will be leaving us shortly at 14).  I grew up with 2 obese parents and really just thought I'd be fat.  Sort of resigned to it.  But, I wasn't overweight until I hit middle school or so.  I was never a huge child but I was always "chubby".  Horses and all that activity helped keep the weight off.  I went to work for a year after high school at a horse farm and lost a ton of weight, down to 130 or so and I was a size 8.  Went to college and was super worried about putting weight back on so basically ate as little as possible.  When my father died I had to leave college, and I put a ton of weight on.  I was around 165lbs when I decided to join the Army in 2001 (in April before 9/11).  I had to lose 15 lbs to do so and I did.  I struggled with my weight throughout the Army and was constantly being taped and put in the fat program.  I got pregnant with my son in 2003 and because of emotional issues and health issues went up to 190 when he was born.  I've just kept putting on after that.  As of starting this WLS journey I weighed 162 lbs.

I really want to be this great active mom for my kids and for me and right now I can't do it.  I look forward to the sleeve helping me become the person I really want to be.
