Great news!

I am 1year post op yesterday.  I just viewed my blood work I had last week.   All of my numbers are in line and better in a few areas than they were before surgery.  I have lost 90 lbs and am 18 lbs from my personal goal.   I am such a lucky person to have been able to have this surgery.   I am 66 years old and took the chance.   Before the surgery my family was worried to death about this for me.   But now they see how much this has improved my life in soooooo many ways.

i can walk for a long time at the mall without sitting down.  I wear a size 14 pants and a large top from a size 24-26 or XXL.   My diabetes is so much improved.   Still on some insulin.  No longer incontinent.  The list could go on and on.

If anyone is on the fence about having this procedure, go for it.   Just make sure you research the surgeon.   That is the most important thing.

Congratulations on your surgical anniversary!  It's so terrific to read the many ways in which your life has gotten so much better as a sleeved person!  Keep up the great work!

Congratulations on your 1 year surgiversary and your 90 pound weight loss. You are doing great.  I also had my surgery when I was older.   I was 64, and very obese.  I'm so glad I did.  Life looks so much brighter now that I can move better, and have more energy.

Best wishes,

Carol

I am having my sleeve surgery on Tuesday, Dec 3rd. That is a week before my 53rd  birthday. It is the best give that I can give myself. It is never too late to find a way to return to health! I believe that 50's is the new 30's.
