Howdy Folks, I write part-time and I'm from Canada (Ottawa, Ontario). As much as I enjoy writing though, reading (or surfing) tends to always become a distraction. I need more discipline. LOL

I hear ya, Tony. I know what I need to do with my writing. Doing it is another story altogether. I am active in two critique groups, but I definitely critique more than I submit. Maybe I'll try doing the kitchen timer writing again.... Julie

I'm a writer too! I write for children -- fiction and non-fiction -- mostly children's magazine work. I also am working on a screenplay (adult) right now and am a member of the Arizona Screenwriter's Association. SHeryl

I didn't know that, Sheryl! Awesome! I'm trying to break into the children's magazine business. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I have a couple of non-fiction articles and one short story out for consideration right now.

Hi, I've just discovered OH. I, too, am a reader and a writer. My 9th book will be out the end of this year and my 10th is due to my editor Nov. 1. I also write lots of book reviews for a couple of magazines. I have a website www.genrefluent.com which has no editor making me appreciate how much editors do to keep authors from sounding like illiterate idiots. I do read about 400 books a year, mostly genre fiction. --Didi

I'm a reader as well as a writer, unfortunately my rent paying job can prevent me from writing as much as I would like to. I am published, with an electronic publisher Triskelion Publishing.
