Dr. LoMonaco has an excellent bedside manner! He was VERY thorough with his exam and explanations for my procedure! When I called to ask more questions and the receptionist and nurses were busy the dr. actually picked up the phone and talked in depth with me.
I will definitely visit him again if I need any other work done.

I am 57 years old and due to the effects of gravity :( and children :) I have been considering a breast lift for the last several years. The first step was researching doctors and since I had watched Dr. LoMonaco when he participated in the television show, Big Medicine, I made an appointment with him for a consultation. He and his staff were as professional and caring in person as they were represented on television. After the consultation with Dr. LoMonaco, I decided to go ahead and have a tummy tuck and lipo in addition to the breast lift. I was so impressed with the amount of time that Dr. LoMonaco spent with me during the consultation, his expert knowledge and management of my expectations (recovery time, pain level, etc.) gave me a very high confidence level. After the surgery, I was so amazed and happy with how little pain I experienced and the speed of my recovery. I can’t believe how flat my stomach is now and also how perky ‘the girls’ are. A month out and I am feeling great and very pleased with how everything looks!

After losing about 150 pounds, I was left with an embarrassing overhang of loose skin around my abdomen and upper thighs. I had long thought about having cosmetic surgery, but had not acted. I'm so glad I did! Dr. Lomonoco and his staff are wonderful. They are very caring and supportive. Dr. Lomonoco takes plenty of time with each patient to thoroughly explain the procedure, expectations and recovery. I'm about 6 weeks out from having a lower body lift and am already very pleased with the results. Looking forward to swimsuit season and the ability to wear a two-piece swimsuit for the first time since I was a teenager.

I am now 6 months out from the second of two procedures I had Dr. LoMonaco do to remove all the extra skin I had from massive weight loss. I am so pleased with the results, and could not be more appreciative of the care he and his staff have shown me through this almost year long journey!

The staff and doctor provided excellent service, making me feel comfortable from the beginning, and always ensuring any questions or concerns are addressed. Being from out of town, the staff worked with my situation to accommodate my needs and travel issues. The surgical procedure went very well, and the post op pain levels were very tolerable. Top notch throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Dr. Lomonaco. In fact, my spouse is going to be using Dr. Lomonaco as well.

Dr. Lomonaco and his staff are truly in a class above all others. I recently had a full body lift and the preparation and consultation was detailed and informative preparing me for the actual procedure. His knowledge and passion for what he does are just a few of the qualities he exemplifies. I have never felt rushed or unattended. Dr. L and his staff takes the necessary time to assure you have any answer you desire. I am a few weeks out since my surgery, everyday I am pleased more with my physical appearance, moreover, i am totally impressed with the level of interest I receive for the team. It's nice to be under the care of a Dr. that really does CARE!

I had a lower body lift with Dr. Lomonaco in Dec. 2012. I had lost 165 pounds through diet and exercise and decided to have the surgery to remove excess abdominal skin. I am very pleased with the results so far. Recovery has been a lot easier than expected. After surgery my pain level was no more than a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1-10. His staff calls every day post surgery to check on you and make sure your recovery is going well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lomonaco to anyone considering plastic surgery after weight loss.

After already being Dr. LoMonaco's patient (had surgery earlier this year) I found out about their laser treatment for my spider veins.
I knew from my dermatologist that these can be treated with injections but that is a lengthy and painful process and it has to be done during winter months (if we have these in Houston) because it requires wearing compression tights all the time.
The laser treatment on the other hand is much easier but we weren't sure if it's going to treat the deeper ones.
After just one laser session ~70% of the existing veins were gone and the deeper ones have diminished considerably. The laser treatment is almost non-painful!
If you had laser/IPL treatments for hair removal you'll notice that this is much less painful.
Even if you have deeper veins I think you should consider trying laser first. It's definitely a much easier and less painful option.

I would recommend Dr. LoMonaco to anyone looking to have surgery, as he is a caring, wonderful doctor who provides you with the honest knowledge that totally prepares you for your surgery. His staff is calming and helpful and they all follow up post-surgery as they genuinely care about you and your outcome. I am extremely pleased with the results from my breast lift and was shocked at how easy the process was and how quickly I recovered. Dr. LoMonaco is an excellent surgeon and one of THE most experienced in working with patients who have had massive weight loss. I had a lower body lift 6 weeks ago and am still in the process of healing and follow-up care but have been extremely pleased with his expertise, his caring, down-to-earth manner, and his respect for me as a patient. He takes plenty of time to answer questions and respond to concerns. I feel that when evaluating a plastic surgeon it is important to consider not only the quality of the surgery performed (which was excellent), but the quality of the follow-up care. Dr. LoMonaco is truly available to his patients, deeply knowledgeable, and works collaboratively to ensure that you achieve a result you are happy with. I had some problems with the hospital and with communication with one staff member, but Dr. LoMonaco took responsibility and remedied these situations right away. I had interviewed several surgeons before choosing Dr. LoMonaco and I definitely feel that I made the right choice in trusting him for this major surgery.

UPDATE 4-27-13
After healing from my LBL surgery in September, I was delighted with the results for my abdomen and torso, and Dr. LoMonaco did remove a lot from my thighs and as much as possible from the buttocks. However, the skin on my thighs did not fully adhere back to the underlying muscle tissue as it should have during the healing process, and Dr. L and I decided together that a follow-up surgery would be beneficial in correcting this problem. So, I had a second surgery with him in March, and am now nearly recovered from that, with a very good improvement. He did not charge me for the second surgery and covered part of the hospital costs as well. Despite the fact that it would have been better not to have had to have a second surgery to get a complete result, the issue I had was not anyone’s fault, it was just the way my body healed, and Dr. LoMonaco’s care for me has been exemplary in every way. I have not paid him anything since the initial surgery and yet have been seeing him as often as needed since then, sometimes once every week or two, to ensure that I was healing properly. Let me tell you – when you first think about choosing a surgeon, you may be inclined to compare costs and what they say they will deliver, as indeed you should, but I am now aware of how critically important it is to know the reputation of the surgeon in terms of how he/she will care for you if everything doesn’t go perfectly, after the money is in their bank account, when you need to be seen more often than expected or to have an unexpected problem solved. These are things you may not think about up front as you envision your “perfect” new body. But I am now even more sure than ever that I made the right choice in Dr. LoMonaco. He has provided excellent, compassionate, responsive and skillful care all the way through this long process, and for that I will always be grateful. I can’t say how it would have been if I had chosen another surgeon, but at this point, I give my highest recommendation to Dr. LoMonaco. I also love Michelle, the massage therapist at Dr. L’s office who does lymphatic drainage massage. She is awesome too!
