Hi everyone! My facelift was the beginning of my plastics journey after losing 153 lbs after gastric bypass.

I searched high & low for a surgeon I could trust with this very important procedure. If you know me, you'd know that it takes me forever and a day to choose whatever I'm researching. It took me a month to finally pick out a digital camera! lol

I had several places in Calilfornia I could've gone to -(Palm Springs (one of the plastics capitals!), San Diego, Mexico & Sacramento area). I live in a remote town in Alaska...even had a plastics consult in Anchorage but I didn't feel the 'click'. I'm sure he was a good surgeon and all but I wanted to 'hear that click!'

After a long search I chose Dr. David Kaufman. I found him through obesityhelp.com...visited his website www.thenaturalresult.com & phoned his office. A gal in the office suggested I email him. I thought "Yeah, right, like some famous plastic surgeon is going to take the time out of his busy schedule to call me!" I emailed him, attached some pics & as an afterthought, gave him my home phone. It wasn't but an hour or so later that I get a call from him! I was flabbergasted. He was very kind...not pushy at all and was very patient with all my emails & questions that I bombarded him with during the month or so of waiting. I'm a professional 'nervous nellie' so he had a lot to work with!

Finally went for the initial consult and lo and behold - "CLICK"!!! Yep, that's the one!

His website is rightly named...www.thenaturalresult.com - my results are VERY natural - I do NOT have that awful 'pulled or windblown' look that you see so much.

His prices are very reasonable...he has a surgical center in his office - it looks & feels just like a hospital OR. The whole office is so supportive & go out of their way to help. They even came to get me the morning of surgery since my daughter had to work!

I felt 'safe' and cared for. He called me a couple of times post op to make sure I was doing ok.

I also really love the charity work he & his office perform...I was looking at the picture album and was so amazed at a picture of a child with a deformed hand. His thumb was bent all the way backward, attached to his arm & the rest of the fingers all mangled. The post-op picture looked so normal!

Yes, my review is correct. Everything about Dr. Kaufman and his team is excellent. I am extremely happy with my lower body lift.
I had surgery on Aug. 9th, I am one month out and I feel great.
Dr. Kaufman is a great listener, very patient, very professional yet fun.

I interviewed 2 other plastic surgeons before deciding on Dr. Kaufman. I went out of state for one, and realized immediately that Dr. Kaufman and his staff were unmatchable for their professionalism. The entire office had a sincere wish to be part of my journey. I was also impressed with Dr. Kaufmans knowledge of the most upto date proceedures that enabled me to have an excellent recovery. Dr. Kaufman was a pleasure to meet with during my consultation. He and his staff were friendly and knowledgable and very easy to communicate with. He didn't rush through my consultation and gave me the pros and cons to the procedure I am having in full detail. I'm happy to have him as my plastic surgeon.

Dr. Kaufman clearly enjoys what he does and cares about giving his patients the best possible results. I lost 185 lbs. and have had three plastic sugeries with Dr. Kaufman; a body lift, arm lift/breast lift/breast augmentation, and a medial thigh lift. I am incredibly happy, both with the amazing physical results and with the care and compassion with which Dr. Kaufman approaches his work. The best part about my experience with Dr. Kaufman was his positive approach and the fact that he seemed excited to work with me. Why? Because he could do for me what I could not do for myself and give me the body that I deserved. Dr. Kaufman sees working with weight loss patients as one of the most rewarding aspects of his practice and it clearly shows in every interaction with his patients. The fact that he also has the skill and experience to give you amazing results, well, it just doesn't get any better than that.

Dr. Kaufman and his staff are “Top Notch #1”, they are extremely caring and treat every patient as if you are their only patient. I can not say enough GREAT things about him and his team. I chose him even though he is 2.5 hours away from my home, his outstanding care and professionalism was well worth the trip. Dr Kaufman’s passion is helping weight loss patients on their final journey of the process after weight loss.

I am a 7 week post-op torsoplasty patient of Dr. Kaufman's who is absolutely delighted with the results! Being a RN, I did quite a bit of research on plastic surgeons who were experienced with weight loss surgery patients as well as looking at the results (the skill level varies greatly). True to Dr. Kaufman's philosophy, he and his staff exceeded my expectations! I do plan to continue the journey by having additional work done and would not consider going to anyone else but Dr. Kaufman. Always ask to see actual results or possibly talk to other patients if offered. This will give you a good feel for the skill level of your plastic surgeon.

Words cannot express my gratitude to Dr. Kaufman and his wonderful staff. Since having a VSG in April 2006 I have lost 120 pounds, resulting in a lot of excess, sagging skin. My search for a plastic surgeon thankfully brought me to Dr. Kaufman. My situation is a bit more complicated than most. I have pulmonary arterial hypertension, an incurable, progressive lung disease. Anesthesia can be a big problem for persons with this condition. My anesthesiologist, Dr. Anderson has been so careful and consistent in each and every procedure. He took the time to learn about my disease and to coordinate care with my pulmonary vascular specialist. I can never thank him enough.

Dr. Kaufman listened to my wishes and together we came up with a pan to accomplish it all. He was not willing to compromise my safety even when I would have liked to have proceeded more rapidly or combine procedures. My safety was always the first order of business.

In the last four months I have had upper eyelid blepharoplasty, breast reduction, brachioplasties, face/neck lift with brow lift, and abdominoplasty. In 10 days I will finish with thighplasties. I am thrilled with the outcome of all my procedures. I was most worried about the face lift. I did not want a pulled-too-tight look and I got exactly what I wanted. I still look like me, just better.

Dr. Kaufman is a wonderful surgeon! I had multiple reconstructive surgeries performed by him almost two years ago after losing 127 pounds and the results are fabulous! He is patient, kind, a great listener and extremely supportive throughout the process, beginning to end. His support and understanding was really integral to meeting my overall goal of seeing the new me.
