Dr. Kreithen has been nothing short of wonderful to me and my family. My husband and two children have also had gastric bypass surgery and we all had "issues" of skin etc. to deal with. Dr. Kreithen has performed surgery on me and my two children (20 and 18), and we have all had wonderful experiences and the results have been everything we could have hoped for. He has a deep caring that truly comes across every time you meet with him. His staff is wonderful as well, and Tina is an absolute gem. She is such a warm, giving person.
Dr. Kreithen totally understands bariatric patients needs, and makes you feel so comfortable discussing your "issues" with him. I highly recommend him to anyone considering cosmetic surgery following weight loss, as well as any other type of cosmetic surgery. It should also be noted that the hospital he practices at is right next door to his office and it is a wonderful facility, with a great staff too. Dr. Kreithen, also called Dr. Josh is one of them most caring, gentle, knowledgeable physicians I have ever known. His soft-spoken demeanor and friendly attitude matches his comfortable surroundings. His is a far cry from the impersonal and arrogant attidues I have found inother Plastic Surgeon's offices.
It was and continues to be a pleasure to have him as my surgeon. He is honest regarding expected results, and stands behind his work 100%. Although I did not use Dr. Josh for bariatric surgery, I would not hesitate to use him for any surgery I might desire, because I trust his integrity. I know that when he says he can perform a procedure, he can and will with great skill.
I first met Dr Josh as a gastric bypass support group meeting. i was impressed with him right away, as i found him to be very honest and forthright. he showed actual pictures of people who had extream weight loss and what was truly possible and realistic for GB patients to expect from plastic surgery. when the time came for my breast lift/reduction and "bat wing" removal, dealing with him was an absolute dream. his staff was hard working and supportive in every way. i had some special needs that he met in every way. i burst my stiches on a saturday and he met with me in less than an hour at this office. no extra fees, this is what you pay for with him. speaking of cost,.. i met with 3 different surgeons and Dr Josh was the most resonably priced one, AND offered the most services (over night hospital stays and very personalized service). He is truly an artist (the art in the office is all done by him and his wife who is also a dr). i have reccommed Dr Josh Several times and will continue to, as i have never felt more comfortable with a dr before in all my life.
Dr. Keithen is a lovely, caring, and warm man with "golden" hands. He did an amazing job with me and I am thrilled with the results. I look forward to working with him and his office staff again in the near future.
From my 1st office visit I could tell immediately that Dr. Kreithen is a Very Caring Person. I am soooo impressed with him and his staff :)
Dr. Kreithen is a very polite doctor that explained in detail of what to expect from surgery. He is also an artist which he applies during surgery for his patients. I was very impressed with his creativity. I look forward to having Dr. Kreithen as my plastic surgeon. I was so impressed, that I gave several of my friends his name and number. He's got to be the best doctor in all of florida.
I worked with Dr. Kreithen during his training fellowship in Gainesville and was delighted to find that he is practicing in my parents hometown. That is part of the reason that he will be my choice for my plastics work. The biggest reason, however is that he is a caring, honest and extremely talented physician. He is currently encouraging me to be at the best possible weight ans in the best possible shape for my body lift as is possible because that will help ensure the best possible results. i like to liken it to having a better outcome in a piece of art because of starting with a quality canvas. I'm not gonig to be doing this until next year, but after meeting with Dr. Kreithen, I am very clear on what I need to do to be ready.
Update, June 8,2007---8 weeks out of my lower body lift. I am tickled by my results thus far. THe scar is beautiful (as much as such a thing can be) and is looking like it will heal great. I am feeling great. I came don from Gainesville specifically to have Dr. Kreithen do my surgery and will be seeing him again for my upper half, when the time comes. He and his team took wonderful care of me, even going so far as to call me at home the night after I got out of the hospital to see how things were going. Even my nurses who took care of me for the 4 days i was in the hospital were wonderful. If you've got to have a giant skin whack like this, Dr. Kreithen is the person to do it and Lakewood Ranch Hospital is the place to have it!!!!
8/4/07..timing is about 4 months out of my total lower body lift. I am sooooo happy. The puffiness has decreased markedly. I am able to be back at the gym working out and am really really pleased with my results!!!!
Dr. Kreithen is kind, caring, and sincere which created an immediate sense of ease for me. Any awkwardness or insecurity that I felt has been replaced by trust and admiration.
Dr. Kreithen has performed on me a lower body lift and a breast augmentation. He possesses both a finely honed skill and natural artistic talent. He was thorough and precise in the information he provided and in preparing me for the results and the healing process. I feel a deep sense of gratitude to Dr.Kreithen for helping me improve my body image, but also for boosting my selfesteem by conveying to me in words and actions just how worth it I really am.
After a 150-pound weight loss, I was in need of reconstructive surgery to remove excess skin. I was overwhelmed at the procedures and options that were available. During my initial visit, Dr. Kreithan took the time to determine my needs, assess my personal situation, and recommend corrective action. Together, we decided to start my round of reconstructive procedures with a total Lower Body Lift. The procedure was described in great detail, and both the surgery and the recovery went exactly to plan. He addressed all of my questions and concerns before and after the procedure and never allowed me to feel that I was not his number one priority at all times.
I am elated with my results – they far exceed my expectations and have made an immeasurable difference in my life. I never knew I would look and feel this great. It was after my procedure that I learned Dr. Kreithan is an artist. This talent comes across in his work and I feel as if I am a piece of his ‘living art’. He is a kind, gentle, compassionate, and caring individual, with an outstanding bedside manner and superior surgical skills. He has set a new standard for patient care of which I will use to measure others. He will be performing my remaining reconstructive procedures and I highly recommend him to anyone.
