My first impression of him was that he was kind of cold and impersonal.

My impression has changed as I have got to see him at the support meetings, He really is human!

Very professional, busy,yet throughal.

His not explaining to my satisfaction the procedeure.

He emphasize it very strongly.

He does have a structured aftercare program.

Very direct. He pulled no punches. He emphasize the probabillities to each risk, which carmed some of my fears.

The jury is still out on that.

His surgical competence is his strongest attribute.

I liked Dr. Jawad from the first moment I saw him. He has a kind face and always kind words and a smile. He always confirms that Im comfortable with the information Ive been given. I was given all the infomation I needed before and after sugery.
I was a little disappointed that I had to wait for 4 months for my surgery but that was because he had broken his arm and had to reschedule his current surgeries first.
His staff has been great. They made me feel very comfortable.
He is very emphatic about after care and has a structured aftercare program. But he pretty much gives you the info and you are on your own to do the right things. But he is there for you if you mess up.
I would rate him a 10 and his bedside manner and surgical competence is also excellent.

I started this journey about 11-12 years ago regarding research of weightloss by gastric bypass surgery. Many of my co-workers have benefited from this surgery over the years and I kept dieting as normal and gaining more weight in the end that what I started with. I probably would have gone on dieting, exercising, paying money after money on any new diet gimick that comes on the market until the pain in my feet, ankels, knees and hips made it unbearable. I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in Feb of this year and decided to pursue the surgery. A co-worker told me about Dr. jawad and I did some researh on him and made an appointment.

My first impression of him was that he seems very shy but very knowledgable. His office staff is nice and very helpful. Traci is very organized to the point of you don't have to worry about anything as long as you present them with all of the documentation that is required by your insurance co. I was very impressed. Example: Before my visit I called for an appointment. Traci sent me a packet of information from patient info. to everything I need to know about gastric bypass surgery, along with ins., pre/post op information. So needless to say when I arrived everything was in order and taken care of. Dr. Jawad was very thorough in his questions as the info. packet detailed everything. At this point I would rate him and his staff a 9 (1-10).

The physician is very approachable and will answer any and all questions. He is very straight forward and matter of fact. The more I dealt with him and his staff the more I saw their professionalism and caring. Each of the staff were very quick to assist with whatever they could do. I never left meeting with the physician without him asking if I had any questions he could answer. In the pre-surgery exam the nurse showed the drains and explained how to dress them and why they were to be in place. The physican went over all of the risk and what could happen.
At the begining of the surgery I had a complication and Dr. Jawad changed the procedure on the spot and he achieved the same results and origingally planned. Had it not been for his meticulous attention to detail the outcome would have been different. I had a problem on the weekend called the service and he got back to me with in 15 minutes he was pleasant concerned and very reassuring. I would have no problem in recommending him to any one.
Dr. Jawad had both surgical competence and a good bedside manner.

The office staff is wonderful!!!So helpful.

There was NOTHING I did not like about him.

Just make sure you do your homework,And know what your getting into.
Greatly.Stresses the inportants of follow-up with bloodwork.

PLEASE make sure you read the info on the risks!!!!
Dr. Jawad is a very compassionate about his patients.

My first impression of Dr. Jawad is a man of few words. He doesn't say a whole lot, but he will answer every question that you ask. He is very nice and is confident in his ability to help. He explained everything thoroughly. I am very comfortable having him as my surgeon. His office staff is amazing. They have bent over backwards to accomadate me and my insurance. They have been a true blessing in making this journey as smooth as possible.

At first impression Dr. Jawad was very professional and somewhat distant. At my second appt. he was friendlier. I can honestly say that I really like him and am glad that he did my surgery. He took very good care of me. I'm 6 weeks post-op and have not had any complications and am down 38 lbs. His staff was incredible. They were extremely supportive and very helpful when I had questions.

My first impression of Dr Jawad was he's great. He get right to the point explain the surgery the risk and what to expect after the surgery. He's office staff was friendly. Traci, the coordinator for gastric bypass is outstanding she is willing to help and answer all your question. I would rate Dr Jawad with a 10 on a scale 1-10. He has a busy office but he give you the time you need with your question as if your the only patient waiting to see him. When looking for a physician you look for good bedside manners and a good representation that's what makes you want to continue with that physician. Dr Jawad has a plus in these area. If your looking for a physician for surgery I think Dr Jawad would be a good choice.
I'm scheduled for surgery on 7/31/02.
