I actually met Dr. Jawad only the day before surgery. He came highly recommended to me by an aquaintence and I was extremely impressed by the professionalism of his staff. I like his approach to the RNY procedure and his skill and experience made the whole initial process less frightening. He answered every question I had patiently and completely.

My first impression was one of respect. here was a man who began to dedicate his expertise to those who needed him most.rnrnOver time, my impression of him deepened. He was sincere and respectful. He never downplayed my condition and his office catered to our kind.rnrnThe office staff is anything but rude. They are so helpful and have a smile always.rnrnI have yet to encounter a dislike of him or his preachings.rnrnDr. Jawad stresses that we follow the aftercare even if we think it is a waste of time. It is set up to aid us and to teach us how to relearn basic functions of eating.rnrnYes, he does have a structured aftercare program. He also sets up a \"class\" where you listen and talk to the dietician, PT and of course himself. He also has his right hand RN talk to us about the surgery, G Tube and care as well.rnrnHe was a no shooter straight forward talker about the risks of surgery. make no bones about it he left nothing to chance.rnrnI would rate him a 10 and that is only because the scales do not go higher.rnrnI think both are a match you can not separate. There isn't one without the other.rnrnI noticed the question below about anything negative. Sadly, I do not have anything negative to add. So if this is deemed less informative so be it. But it is the truth and my opinion.

I was very impressed by all the teaching and information that I received at Dr. Jawad's office. The care I received while in the hospital was great. I would recommend Dr. Jawad to anyone considering gastric bypass surgery.

My first impression of Dr. Jawad was that he is very straight forward and to the point. He tells it like it is and doesn't beat around the bush. He was very upfront and honest about his cases. I liked that. His office staff were awesome. They knew exactly what I needed to do to get together to get my insurance to pay and with their counsel, I was able to get my surgery authorized in less than two weeks. Don't go into this office thinking that the surgery is going to solve all your problems. You have to be willing to sacrifice and do exactly what they tell you to do and you will do just fine. Dr. Jawad and his staff are very much concerned with aftercare which is another reason I liked him so much. I like to know that I doing what I am supposed to be doing so that I don't get back to where I was when I started. I look forward to my 6 month check ups. Dr. Jawad and the staff are very up front about the risks involved in this surgery. I would rate Dr. Jawad as an 11 on a scale from 1-10. He helped me to save my life. I think both surgical competence and bedside manner are great in a perfect world, but we don't live in a perfect world so I think competence is more important. I want someone who knows what they are doing and can tell me what I need to do even if I don't like the way they tell me.

I met the surgeron at my pre-op visit. He spoke to us as a group and then saw me in the back. I like him. At the pre-op we were all given lots & lots of good info!

somewhat quiet man, straight forward all business guy, nice but to the point, great and exceptional surgeon, bedside manner is good however when im out cold and under, i want surgical competence, and under all my research and persoanl experience, i have the best!!!!! i would recommend him as a surgeon to anyone ande everyone in need.

When I first met Dr. Jawad he and his staff whee very attentive, sincere, and straight to the point. They know the meaing of team work and care. I was given complete training and details on the process for approval for surgery, the process of the actual surgery, and the process of after surgery. He makes this a family process not a individual process. He made sure my family was properly informed and trained at all time. My Fiance stated that he has never encountered a Doctor who cared so much about his patience. My fiance also stated how Dr. Jawad came out to see him and let him know all the details of my surgery and the outcome. Dr. Jawad's nurses were by my side at all times so I can feel comfortable before and then after the surgery. In my hospital stay- they went above and beyond of what I could have ever imagine. Dr. Jawad ran series of test before I was discharged the next day and met with my family and I again to make sure all was well. His nurse Kelly was also there training and retraining my family members and I. When I came home they kept in contact with me. Dr. Jawad and his staff have a excellent bedside manner and his surgical competence cannot be compared to anyone. He is unique, and honestly the best surgion I have ever had surgery with. This man and his hands are truely blessed by God. In a rate from 1-10. Ten being the best, i have to say Dr. Jawad has truely surpassed a 10- EXCELLENT!!

Haven't met him yet. I think I have to have all the preliminary testing done first. Will write review as soon as I get to meet him.

I live in Tallahassee but I chose to go to Ocala to Dr. Jawad for two reasons: 1) He has a reputation of being one of the best doctors in the nation. 2) I lived in Ocala when my children were growing up and he did an appendectamy on my son when he was 10 years old.

my impression of my surgeon was he was the best . over time i still feel the same he was the best at what he does. the staff was great.tne thing i liked least about him was he just didn't smlie much but thats o.k. . he was the best. overall he was 99.9 out 100.bed side manner was the only thing he was not that great but thats o.k. he was honest and a great surgeon he was just very quite.rn
