My first impression of Dr. Kim was a very pleasant and friendly doctor. He was nonthreatening and did not rush me,but took his time answering any and all questions I had, very knowledgeable of the procedure and with plenty of experience. During preop, before and after surgery, he was there to guide me through the process and reassure myself and my husband that everything was going according to plans. When I still wasn't feeling well the day after surgery and not ready to go home, he made the necessary adjustments and had compassion. Never once being judgemental towards the way I was feeling. I stayed another day and he came to see me each time to make sure I was comfortable. This doctors bedside manner and overall surgical competence were both outstanding. I would recommend him to anyone else looking for a Kaiser Permanente Bariatric surgeon.

Dr. Casillas projects a very warm and caring attitude. He was very supportive of good pain management after surgery. I had very little bruising and the incisions were small and healed very quickly. I'm very pleased with his surgical competence and would readily recommend him as a surgeon. Kaiser has an excellent follow-up program with a care coordinator who is always available for advice and support.

This facility has the friendliest staff I've ever encountered, from the houskeeping staff to the surgeons. Everyone seemed happy and cared about my comfort and needs. I was given a private room and my husband was allowed to spend the whole time with me. They even provided linens for him to sleep on a chair that made into a bed.

-first impression: he's bilingual.rn-the office staff was wonderful and very curteous.rn-he always seems in a hurry but he does give me my time when i need it.rn-future patients should know that he is down to earth and very strict about the program and he wishes you to succeed so listen to his avice.rn-he gives pamphlets and if you leave him a message at his office he will personally call you back. rn-he goes over the risks, but since some people, like myself, went to a bariatric program over 6months, he know we are prepared before going to him.rn-i would rate him a 10.rn-both are great, bedside manner and surgical competence.rn

This hospital was very organized and the staff there was top notch. I was very impressed with how caring they were. The hospital used upt to date equiment and was very clean. The only comment I would make is to make it a little better for my family waiting for me. The cafeteria never seemed to be open through out the weekend, and there seemed to be no room for them to sit. Other than that the overal visit was excellent!
