UT Methodist Physicians Weight Management and Wellness Center Hospital
Dr McGrath-Weaver really understands the whole weight loss battle. My first impression was that she was too pretty, too young, and too fit to really understand or be compassionate. Boy was I wrong. She is most definitely an advocate for those struggling with obesity. Her office staff at the Center for Surgical Weight Loss are what dreams are made of. They walked me through every step, fought for my insurance approval, and did everything they could to get my surgery scheduled in the limited time frame I had available. These ladies really understand...they are gentle, caring, and just all around great people. I look forward to working with them throughout this next year as I kiss my excess weight goodbye!
My first impression of Dr. Mc-Grath Weaver was very good. Her view on obesity is that it is not always the individuals lack of trying to lose weight that is the reason for being obese and that being said that surgery is a good viable option. She works in conjunction with a bariatrics program that ensures nutrition, support groups and exercise are all part of the larger picture. During my office visits she took time to answer my questions and provide me with details concerning surgery and the risks. I rate her overall as an outstanding doctor who can evaluate you and your needs with great competence.
While I haven't met with Dr. Weaver personally, I have attended her WLS seminar and completed all prelim paperwork. Waiting for acceptance into her program! I appreciated how confident she is as a surgeon, and the straightforward manner in which she explained the 2 surgeries she does (RNY vs. Lap-Band). It helped me make a decision right away about which surgery is right for me. I love that her program includes nutritional classes and lots of post-op follow up and support groups. I will update more as I go through the program.
Dr.Waever is really caring on every end she has been there for me and so has her team. They are great !!!!!!! GREAT!!
