Dr. Kligman is a great man. He is very knowledgeable about what he does. As others have said, he can come across as very cocky, but he is also very confident. He expects his patients to put forth effort and will make you take a written test and sign a contract with him, to make sure you know exactly what you are getting yourself into. Kligman addressed all the risks of surgery and took time to answer my questions. His surgical competence and bedside manner were terrific, he visited me 3 times while I was in the hospital, once at 11pm and then again at 7am. I don't think he ever sleeps! He's great and I'd totally recommend him and his staff to anyone.

First I want to give honor to GOD from where all BLESSINGS FLOW... rnI want to thank him for giving Dr. Kligman the ability to do what he do... I thank GOD that one day I walked into my PHP and she told me that she wanted me to go to the BEST... then she wrote on a peice of paper... DR. MARK KLIGMAN... First off we have folks saying to us that we don't need the surgery... then I want to add... people lose thier eye site and want it back... what do they do... they have surgery to get it back... WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE from having GASTRIC bypass... Your getting back what you once had...rnThank you Jesus...rnrnNow about Dr. Kligman... I RESPECT a man who RESPECT me enough to tell me that I need to do something with myself... I RESPECT a MAN who is willing to give me something back that I took away from myself...rnThere is nothing and I mean nothing that I would do different when it comes to Dr. Kligman... This man is now my friend... I trust him to do a GREAT job for me... my family and anyone else who is seeking weight loss... Dr. Kligman is a man that will not lie and tell you that it's easy... he let's you know that this task will be a hard one but sticking to the program will get you wonderful results... I thank GOD for giving him the knowledge that he has... I can't wait to get on the Operating table, wake up and start my new life...rnrn

I did find that when I was up and walking, there was no one to be found in the hallway- I had pretty severe nausea and was fearful of vomitting in the hallway, but I couldn't find anyone to help me. Also, check your prescriptions before you leave-I was given the right prescriptions, but with another patient's name on them!

When I first met Dr. Kligman, I thought that he came across as cocky. But the more that I listened to him and went to another seminar, I realized that he had the right to be very confident and that's what I liked about him the best. He treats his patients with honesty and I can appreciate that - I don't want a surgeon that is \"wishy-washy\" or untruthful.rnrnHe is very focused on the post-op care and is committed to helping his patients attain their goals. He addresses all of the risks thoroughly and doesn't hesitate to state his record of complications/infections. He has also done many revisions from other surgeon's mistakes.rnrn

As far as the hospital it seems to be a clean university.

When I first attended his free seminar I felt a connection with Dr.Kligman. He made me feel at ease and that continued thru the entire process. Right up to the day of my surgery I had a wonderful calm and I owe that to the Surgeon. The only thing I could say that I disliked about him was \"NOTHING\". I have heard other comments from dissatisfied patients but I have been thru this with my daughter and now myself and I can not find a thing to say other than I have a great admiration for Dr.Kligman. He saved my daughters life and he saved my life. For that I will forever be greatful. He is right up there number two on my list, only reason he is two is the man above needs to stay number one!

Dr. Kligman was upfront and honest. He had expectations of what he wanted from me. He told me of my chances of being \"open\" if I did not follow his rules and guidelines.rnrnDr. K knows a great deal about Gastric Bypass and anyone who is thinking of having this surgery....hopefully you live in Maryland now, because that is where he is at.

My first impression of Dr. Kligman was he was arogant. After the first appointment with him, I made my decision. He is very compitent and I felt confident that he was the right choice. His office staff have been amazing. They are incouraging and helpful. I didn't like the fact that he did not want to really talk with me but he was quick to answer all questions I had. Just so you know he is all about walking. He demands it in fact. He was very honest with me as to what to expect with my surgery. I would give him an 11 as a surgeon. Him being an excellent surgeon is all that matters to me.

Dr. Kligman and his staff are absolutely wonderful. I would recommend Dr. Kligman for anyone. The seminar that he presents prior to the first appointment was impressive, informative and needed to make an informed decision. I would rate him 110%
