I had an aweful experience here. the care in ICU was bad. I was left alone by the nurse assigned to me and the alarms for my blood pressure were going off. my mom walked in and I was unconcious, my nurse button was on the floor, my blood pressure was 240 over 150, and I was all alone. the nurse who was assigned to me was somewhere else.
this kind of thing was common.
my c-pap machine was dropped on the floor and broken and I was not reimbursed. I developed bed sores and a bruised tail bone because they refused to let me up, when the doctor had ordered it. I have scars from my binder because the nurses would not remove it when the doctor ordered it. I was in ICU a week because my vocal cords were scraped by the anesthesiologist. I WATCHED my surgeon write the order for me to be administered my antidepressants and the nurses insisted there was no order and would not give it to me almost the whole two weeks I was in the hospital.

on the whole the care was substandard and my life was at risk because of it.

There was a MAJOR problem with disclosure of confidential information from one of the financial workers there. This same person (Marissa Crisostomo) told other patients as well as my mother that I was not improving because I was "lazy"... Facts proved otherwise, but it was/is extremely inappropriate, and this person is still employed there.

I didnt even receive my nutritional supplements on a daily basis and being sore and not at all hungary, I didn't think to ask for them. Pain management was not much better. On average it took 3 ring of the call bell to receive assistance.

St. Luke's is a teaching hospitol and the student nurse that I had was just wonderful. The regular nurses were awesome too. I felt they were doing everything they could to make my visit comfortable and pleasant. They were wonderful.

The staff here was very nice. I still go back on a monthly basis to weigh in.
They are all very supportive.

Bariatric patients are on the orthopedic
floor which is very quiet. Although
nursing care was spotty, especially on
the first day when I needed help, my
stay overall was better than anticipated.

I appreciated the quiet room which had
a shower in the restroom.

The staff was very compitent, patient and caring. I had prompt pain medication, clean linens etc. I thought they really emphasized our being independant. We have to remember.....this is a Hospital, not a Dayspa. :)

The staff was very friendly and helpful
and I felt well cared for.

Care depended upon which nurse you had. One nurse was great and one was, well, I don't believe I saw her during her shift.
