My first impression of Dr Graber was his candidness (is that a word?) He was open an honest about the procedure and his mortality rate, my specific risks in addition to the general risks of any surgery, and how the surgery would work for me - he is so amazingly thorough - I feel totally at ease and confident in his abillity and expertise - he seemed genuinely concerned about me as a patient and I liked that - His office staff was friendly and helpful - answering any questions I had. The office stressed compliance with the program and explained that the success of the WLS depended on me! My overall first impression is that he is competent and compassionate - and I would recommend him to anyone who is considering this journey - My surgeon and his staff were suppotive beyond belief - even whe the insurance companied denied my precertification Dr Graber himself spoke to the medical director to ensure my surgery would be approved - his nurse and office manager worked very closely with my insurance company and finally got me approved - I believe this was above and beyond anything I could have expected - Dr Graber is my hero!

My first impression of him was excellent. His staff were all very friendly and helpful. Recently switched surgeons and SO GLAD I did. Much more comfortable with Dr. Graber! He and his nurse explained everything to me and made sure I had no questions by the time I left. Looking forward to working with and him and all his staff.

Dr. Graber is a very kind and concerned man, whose "bedside manner" is pretty formal. He responds to your needs promptly and has really gone the "extra mile" for a friend of mine, so I know he would do the same for me or any of his patients. He is very experienced in the laparoscopic RNY surgery; it is all he does. My surgery went off completely uneventfully and my pain levels were very low. Once I left the hospital on the second day after surgery, I had no need for pain meds.

At the first visit, Dr. Graber was very open and completely explained the procedure, the risks, and the benefits. His office staff was competent and friendly. Dr. Graber himself was consistently polite and attentive throughout the entire experience.

If you don't need a lot of coddling, Dr. Graber is a surgeon you can rely on to do an excellent job. At the same time, if you do have any post-operative problems or concerns, he will follow up instantly and carefully.

I met with Dr. Graber on 10-10-05. His office staff are very friendly. Lisa his nurse was very helpful and very well informed about the surgery. she told me the in's and out's, the do's and dont's. My impression on Dr. Graber was very good. He addresse3d the risk of suregery all through my time with him. He has done 550 surgery's, one death in 2003, but not from the surgery. He is very caring and explaines thing's very well. He has a aftercare program that he explained. All in all I say I have chosen the right Dr. for my surgery. I rate him as a 10.

My first impression of Dr. Graber was good. He is very up front and explained the surgery well. He knows his stuff and I feel very comfortable with him. His office staff is great!! Lisa and Susan are wonderful! I was given a detailed binder of everything about the surgery and aftercare. I felt very informed. I would recommend anyone to him. He is a 10 in my book.

I was very comfortable right from the start with everyone in the office. They all knew what I had gone thru in the Binghamton area with getting approved, and then the surgeons in my area quit doing the procedure. I had all the tests that I needed and all the leg work was basically done...I just needed a surgeon that participated with my ins. It just "felt right" on my first impression with all the staff and Dr. Graber. He was interested in coming to Binghamton and speaking at our support group, and I now have a date. Highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr Graber is the best in the upper New York area to obtain. His staff is excellent, kind. His office is very clean and neat and you dont have to wait long for an appointment to see him. To me, he is the next best thing to ice cream! He did an excellent job on my surgery, and has always been there for me when I needed him. He is excellent with aftercare. He went over the surgery with me and gave me the risks right up front. I would recommend him to anyone. He is the best! Excellent competence, bedside manner, etc.

My first impression of Dr. Graber was he's not so intimadating. He was polite and even joked with me. I told him he was known for having no personality.......lol he said maybe because its your personality that's easy to relate to.
He doesn't hold anything back and tells it like it is. He spent a lot of time with me answering my questions. I didn't feel hurried at all.
Well we will see about the rest of the plan........surgery etc.

He is honest, plain speaking, and a great surgeon.

My impression has not changed, just been strengthened.

Staff...not sure I have made up my mind except for Suzanne=patient became employee. She is wonderful.

Least? He is a very busy doctor!

He does not pull any punches and tells you the way it is, which is very refreshing! Bedside manner was different, but OK...he knows his business.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!
