Overall, I felt the staff was very caring and attentive. However, the technicians do not receive any special instructions regarding bariatric patients, and sometimes offered me things like carbonated beverages and straws, which I could not have. The nurses, however, were well educated and attentive to my needs. The rooms seem small and the air conditioner in my room didn't work very well, but they sent someone to fix it. It was very noisy with nurses, technicians, doctors, cleaning staff, and visitors coming in and out all day and night, but I guess that's to be expected in any hospital.

All in all I had a good experience at this hospital. The staff was friendly and very supportive through out everything I went though.

I was under a misconception. I thought six floor was for only bariatric patients. Not so!!! There was a lot of yelling and screaming day and night, not a very restful place post surgery. However, the nurses and the aides that cared for me were wonderful.

ALL the staff was very kind, accomdating, and knowledgeable. I would definitely reccomend this hospital.

They did not have a room ready for me after surgery. I waited 6.5 hours in recovery to be put on a floor. During this time everyone was actually very helpful, letting my visitors come and sit one at a time with me. When I got to my room the nurse taking care of me was fantastic. The night nurses were also very kind and patient. The only issue I had was with my PCT and Nurse in the AM, I was not satisfied with them...but overall the stay was not bad.

I had a wonderful experience at St. Alexius and was very suprised a how excellent my care was. I would recomment this hospital to anyone for anything. The rooms are beautiful and roomy, the nurses do not seem overworked and are attentive to your needs. A Four Star experience!
