In general, my stay was uneventful. The only complaint I have is about the night nursing staff. During the night shift it seemed to take forever to get someone to respond to the nurse button. They would respond that they were coming but they would not show up until you beeped them several times. I went for about an hour trying to get someone into the room to hook my IV back up after a trip to the bathroom. During that hour, I called them three times and did without my pain medication that was in a pump connected to the IV. I was very unhappy with the slow unattentive night staff. If you can, bring someone with you to stay the night with you, that way you can send that person out to the nurses station to see just what takes them so long to respond to patients needs.

I can't say enough good things about my hospital experience. From pre-op work up to discharge, all of my needs were met. My nursing care was wonderful, and the only negative I can think of was being left in the hall for 30 minutes follwoing my leak test. (But I think there was going to be some discussion about this!)

I wore the same gown for two 1/2 days because they did not have any & the one I had the rear bottom string was missing.

They also could not find a leg massager that worked, we tried several before giving up.

The nurses were great. Karen was a God-send. Although none of the nurses thought I was greatful. I appreciate everything they did for me.

This hospital is very interested in the WLS patient and is sponsoring a monthly support group.

The staff was very friendly and caring I never had any problems with them at all. They were helpful whenever I needed them.

Hospital stay was uneventful. Most of the staff was excellent. But alway remember you are your best advocate. If it does not seem right, make sure you question it.
