Southeast Georgia Health System Hospital
The only fault I found, and it was a minor one, was that no one told me much of anything. I was never shown how to use the breathing thingy, I was almost allowed to go home without being shown how to empty my drainage pump, etc. But I hate to even complain at all because the nurses went out of their way to be nice and understanding. I was never disturbed except for necessities and when I called for a nurse, he or she responded promptly and courteously. I was very pleased overall.
I think I was just unlucky some, the nurse did give me someone elses bag of IV stuff and it took 20 mins for her to get back to me when my husband found out. Also, the people that draws blood, had to do it 2 or 3 times. I thought that was poorly, maybe need more medical schooling. Also, our van was hit in the parking lot while I was in surgery by a transport company out of Brunswick, and she was not even going to turn it in, a witness had to report it to the guards and they caught her leaving and it took to the next day for them to get in touch with my husband on the accedient.Other than that, the last day there, my new nurse come in and was like IV has to go, it is going in your arm and stuff. wow, i liked her for the few hours i had her. You can tell if u have a good nurse or not. some of the staff care, some don't! if my husband have not been there, i would have been in trouble, cause he took care of me!!!!
