Rhode Island Hospital Hospital

I was very suprised that the doctor who put me to sleep made a comment about my weight and not being able to find a vein for the IV. I was there to get help with my weight problem and I was very hurt by his comment. I was suprised by the attitude of some of the other staff members as well. I would not choose to go to this hospital again if I have the choice.

I was very surprised how unprepared the hospital was. I felt like I was telling them what was supposed to happen. Im so thankful that I took the class about post-op before I had surgery, because if I went in knowing nothing, it would have been a lot worse. I was surved regular food, I would call the nurse and to my surprise they would never come. Some of the nurses were very proffesional and pleasant. There were so many different nurses though, I dont think I saw the same person twice. Except for a couple. It made it confusing for them and me. I had to pass along information from one nurse to another. I had to keep telling them that I need to sleep with the bipap machine. One night I waited about 2 hours until someone came to help me put it on. Overall, it was kind of unpleasant.
