I think the hospital was fine, but the air was very dry and I think they should put the bariatric patients together on one floor.

overall my experience was very good. i did have one problem on my first might where the nurse in step-down insisted that she change my sheets and give me a sponge bath. my body was in far too much pain to be rolled all over the bed. other than that everything was good.

The nursing staff was supreme! I found only one nurse neglectful. They were very patient, gave me more than enough attention and was there in seconds when I needed something.

Only 2 complaints: My first night and day after surgery I was in the step-down unit and it is extremely noisy and I did not get any rest. I had to stay there almost a whole day longer than necessary until a bed was ready for me. The other issue I found was that they were not mindful of my dietary needs. My first meal that they sent up was regular food, which of course I was not supposed to have, only liquids and broth. After the first mix-up though they got it right. Overall, it wasn't bad and the nurses were wonderful.

I had an excellent experience at RIH. Everyone was wonderful and made me feel comfortable, safe and well cared for.
