I got to admit, I wasn't sure about Dr. Lowe at first. He is fairly new at the practice and you are already scared to death from all the horror stories. He did assure me that Dr. Melkonian would be in the operating room with him and that is what made me feel better. Everyone in Dr. Lowe's office was exceptionally nice. My impression of Dr. Lowe now is that he is the greatest Doctor and I would recommend him to anyone. He is very sensative and hears you out instead of just pretending to listen just to get you out of his office for the next patient. He did come by my hospital room and check on me to make sure everything was going ok. In all I would rate him on a scale of 1-10 he is a 10. He did a great job on my surgery and i had no complications at all during or after the surgery. THANKS DR. LOWE!!!

Dr. Voellinger is highly professional and very personable. He is a jokester that made me feel very comfortable and his staff was very supportive through each and every step and setback.

I cannot say I disliked anything in particular. The wait for a surgical date was the hardest part of my journey. After being approved there was a window of time that I was just waiting. Which was very hard. Although there were several pre-surgical exams and consultations I understand that most is for the insurance approval, and anything else was for my safety.

Dr. V explained the entire surgery to me and explained all the possible outcomes.

I'd rate the entire practice with a 9/10...and anticipate 10/10 post surgical.

Dr. Melkonian is a very nice surgeon. He explained everything to me in full detail, including risks and benefits. I would warn patients that he talks very fast and you should have a list of questions that you want answered. His office staff is wonderful. The front desk receptionist and all of the nurses treat each patient with kindness and respect. I would definately recommend Dr. Melkonian to any person who wishes to have weight loss surgery.

All I have to say is WOW! This Doctor has a remarkable way of sticking the straights to you. Dr. Melkonian goes over everything with you inside & out. And the moment I shook his hand I just knew this was the man that was going to be the one to change my life forever! I was impressed by the reviews off of the site to see him, and I will tell you what, All of the great reviews mentioned about Dr. Melkonian was no lie. He is wonderful! No baby pats or pity parties here, he tells you how it is, and the benefits of the surgery. And he was very strong & proud of his statistics, and I could tell he was planning on keeping it like that. Nita is such a sweetheart. She is soft spoken and so willing to do anything in her power to help you and will let you know to call her anytime a question pops up. She is so, so sweet. Always smiling with a look like you would get nowhere else! Makes you feel cared about while you are talking to her. However,
The little red haired girl at the front of the Matthews Office was snooty somewhat. She was the type to always try to correct everything you did. She was the kind that tried to call you out in front of people. I didn't like that a bit. But it did not discourage me at all. She is not the one I was there to see, I just smiled at her and took her on...:)
I was in his office for an hour. He will sit and talk with you until you are comfortable enough to say good bye. He will not end the consultation until all your questions are answered and I liked that too. When you make your appointment with him, they will send you a packet to fill out and a checklist to check off, as long as you have all the checklist complete they can send your information off to insurance. They were very pleased I had everything they needed. So that will definately help speed the process up. On average 1 to 10 he would be a 10 +. Good luck everyone who considers Dr. Melkonian. You would be making a very smart & wise choice!

Dr. Voellinger is great. It has been only 3 weeks and already he has changed my life in so many ways. He is a Dr. who really cares about you and how you do, not many of them around anymore. The office staff went out of their way for you also. All questions answered with a smile. There is nothing I don't like about Dr. Voellinger and his staff. I had a good out come. But you should do your own research about Dr. Voellinger or any other surgeon so you are sure you got the right one for the job.

Staff is great, but I had difficultly seeing Dr. post op even though having complications.
Two appointments were scheduled, but he was unable to be there due to surgery.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR. V WAS FASTBUT THROUGH AS I PREPARED FOR SURGERGY I REALIZED WHY DR VOELLINGER SEEMED RUSHED IT IS HIS NATUER AND TRAINING HE IS ON THE TRAUMA TEAM AT THE HOSPITAL SO SLOWNESS IS NOT A GOOD VIRTURE THE OFFICE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND THEY STAY ON TOP OF THINGS NO BAD EXPERIENCES.PATIENTS SHOULD KNOW THAT IF HE TELLS YOU SOMETHING TO DO OR PUTS YOU ON A PLAN YOU SHOULD FOLLOW IT TO THE LETTER IF NOT HE WILL NOT DO THE SURGERY AFTERCARE IS ADDRESSED IN THE OFFICE AS THERE IS A ON STAFF NUTRIONIST,PERSONAL TRAINER AND SUPPORT GROUP MANAGERS ALL IN HOUSE.THE RISKS OF THE SURGERY WERE EXPLAINED IN DETAIL AT MY FIRST CONSULTATION.OVERALL I GIVE DR V A GREAT BIG 10+ THIS IS A GREAT SURGEON MY SCARS ARE MINIMAL 1 WEEK POST OPT PAIN IS GONE EXCEPT FOR THE SMALLER STOMACH I CAN'T EVEN TELL I HAD SURGERY

My first impression of Dr. Melkonian was great. He was very professional and spoke in layperson's terms without a lot of medical jargon. He is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend him to anyone considering WLS.

I have met with Dr. Voellinger once and I immediately liked him. He has these piercing blue eyes that are very comforting. He did keep me waiting for a while but that was because he wanted to get a post -op appt "out of the way" so he could spend more time with me. i had three pages of questions so that was the correct move to make. Immediately he cracked jokes about how many questions - and I loved it. (He wasn't judging...he was kidding!) He was so funny! The staff at the Presy Center for Bariatric Surgery is great. They are so nice and there is no judgement...it's just so rare.

The center is really pushing after care-which I love. They have a support group and an online group for exchanging emails. They have a newsletter.

I just couldn't be more excited about all of this. It's all falling into place!

The only negative feedback that I would give is about the doctor's assistant. He was...kind of...condesending...?? I don't know if that is the right description but something about him rubbed me the wrong way.

I really like Dr. Melkonian. He is very direct and gets straight to the point. Nita was very persistant in getting all my paperwork completed and submitted. The entire process for me took less than two months. I'm very nervous about my surgery especially reading all the things that could possibly happen to me. I'm excited but nervous because I have two daughters and am really scared that something might happen to me. I'm tired of being fat and I'm ready to live a normal life as normal as possible that is.
