Dr. V is likeable, approachable, professional, and focused. His staff are caring and kind. Aftercare is especially important in this practice which is one of the reasons I chose Dr. V. He was up front about the risks of surgery and spoke clearly and carefully about each area of our discussion. At this point, prior to surgery, I would recommend him highly.

My first impression of Dr. Melkonian was, he's not very friendly. After my second meeting with him I realized that he is just one of those Doctors thats gets to the point and knows what he's talking about. He took his time with me and answered many, many questions. His staff was great and very helpful at getting me approved very quick. It took anly a month from my first surgical seminar to get a surgery scheduled. I had no complications from my surgery what so ever. I was up walking around that evening. I hardly had any pain, asked to be removed from morphine the morning after surgery. I couldn't believe how well my recovery went. Even though his bedside manner lacks a little, his skills and knowledge make up for it ten times over. I would recommend Dr. Melkonian to anyone, he is a great surgeon.

Dr. Melkonian is a very intelligent and talented surgeon. I worked at a hospital and asked around. He is one of the best. His team is very knowledgeable. I really liked his nurse practitioner. She has limited days that she is there so it was hard for me to schedule due to my work. I felt like I was a pest but people are liars. My consulting physicians said that things were faxed or done which weren't. I had to keep bothering Dr. Melkonian's very busy staff. It was almost a full time job to get things done.

My first impression of Dr.V was he seems to be a very nice doctor. He told me everything I needed to know about the surgery as well as life after surgery. All I can say is Dr. V is the BEST! The staff is wonderful! I can call or email them at anytime and they would be there for me. They are the best staff ever.

I met with Dr. Melkonian yesterday and I was very impressed with him. He took time to answer all of my questions. I did not feel rushed in any way. He seemed to really care and listen to my questions. So far, the entire office has been nice and responsive to needs or questions I have had.

Dr. Melkonian has been great he has worked with insurance to get everything we needed. Carrie is awsome, I have worked with too, she does the filing for insurance. I can tell you this if you are trying to get paperwork from your other doctors, help out. I have found that if I had not got copies of everything that Dr. Melkonian wanted for the insurance company, they would have never gotten it. So what I did was everything they wanted I called the doctor and ask for it to be picked up, then I faxed it to the office. They may have gotten 2 copies of somethings but that is better than nothing.

I am very happy with DrM and his staff. I will be 1 year out next week and couldnt have imagined how wonderful everything would be. Pre-Op DrM was excellent... he spent a lot of time explaining everything and answering any and all of my questions... his staff was very helpful in assisting me thru the process and good about returning calls. I felt very confident with him going into this surgery. I have had no complications post-op... no dumping, no throwing up, no food intolerances... it has been great. I look forward to seeing him at my 1 year follow up!

I had a very good first impression with Dr. Melkonian. The instant he walked into the room, I had a peace about it. He was very nice and took his time, he did not rush to get out of the room, like alot of doctors. He dicussed the risks & complications that can occur. I was also impressed with his staff. They were very knowlegable and very nice to me. He impressed my husband and I in both his bedside manners and his knowlege about the surgery. I would recommend Dr. Melkonian to anyone. He is great.

Dr. David Voellinger iof Southeast Bariatrics in Charlotte, NC is the surgeon who performed my my revision surgery. My original surgeon moved out of state andDr. Voellinger took over many of her patients. I sought his help after she had left NC and I started experiencing problems. rnrnHis knowledge of all types of WLS is commanding. He is very empathetic, has a good sense of humor----really cares about his patients. He is very thorough in the pre-op tests and instructions. He also has a structured after-surgery program, which my first surgeon didn't have. rnrnDr. V's office staff is comprehensive and wonderful--he has nutritionist, psychologist, and exercise physiologist all within his office. His recods and medical staff (Kim, Steffney, and Dawn) are excellent. The entire outfit has been very easy to work with--all calls promptly returned, etc. rn
