I met Dr Melkonian at a seminar at Presbyterian Hospital. He was very friendly and informative. He seems to have a very caring demeanor. I have not seen him since, I am scheduled to meet him next week. However, I have been talking with his staff constantly. Carrie & Michelle are wonderful to deal with.

Bed Side Manners, that was very important to me. I also wanted someone that knew what they were doing and really understood it. I found that Dr. Lowe had every answer to my questions and didn't make me feel rushed. He encouraged questions and he was so genuine, nothing fake about him...that I could see. I look forward to going back to him for my first fill. rnrnThanks Dr. Lowe and Staff!rnYou all were Great!

My first impression of Dr.Lowe that he was very warm and friendly, very easy to talk too. Over time it grew he is very understanding and caring. Welll some of his office staff is very helpful, there are a few but I will continue. I finally met him two weeks prior to surgery. Dr.Lowe is an excellent choice very knowledgeable. Aftercare is VERY important, he emphasises that very well. There is a structured aftercare program. All risks were laid out nothing was hidden. Overall I would rate im a 10. To be honest both were great even in the worst of times he still encourages you and gives you hope.

Dr. Lowe was very proffessional and took time to explain things in easy to understand terms. He showed his support of the weight that i had already lost. Dr Lowe performed my surgery on 01-16-08, it was not at all what i had thought it would be like after the operation. I was exspecting alot of pain and discomfort for days. However I have had very little pain, alot of gas but very little pain, I was up and moving the same day. I think me getting out of the bed and walking done wonders.

Dr. Melkonian was a very kind and informative person. He stopped by daily in the hospital to provide info and updates. I was blessed in finding him, and I have come through the surgery with no problems. I feel good and am on my way to a more healthy life, thanks to him. I did have some issues with one person on his staff, she would be extremely short tempered when caontacted for questions. They need to remember that this is a drastic change for us, and there will always be questions. Overall my experience was great.

Dr. Voellinger is the sole surgeon on staff at Southeast Bariatrics in Charlotte, NC. (www.southeastbariatrics.com) His practice performs LapBand, RNY, DS and VSG. Dr. V is very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have. He is Southern, has a dry sense of humor and absolutely loves his work. His office staff is also very knowledgeable. There are at least three of his former patients on staff there. The pre and post-surgical care is phenomenal. The office operates its own Yahoo forum for patient support. In addition, they host monthly WLS support meetings that are free for any WLS patient (not just patients of Dr V).
