Pitt County Memorial Hospital Hospital
PCMH is a great hospital. The only trouble I had was with the night nurses for 2 shifts. It was obvious they did not want to be there and were not very helpful. Being a healthcare worker myself, I know how things can be in a busy hospital, but as far as I know it was not very busy the nights I am referring to. Other than that part of it I feel I was treated wonderful by Dr. MacDonald, Dr. Chapman and all of the other nurses and residents.
Pitt County Memorial was a very neat and organized hospital. The nurses were knowledgeable in their duties.
Not once did I have a complaint about anything that happened to me.
The staff is very caring and compassionate in taking care of it's patients and taking care of me. They treat you like the human being that you are and they are firm and confident in knowing they are the best at what they do. It was very reassuring to my husband and my family that I was treated just like a millionaire. I left feeling like I had been given the golden glove treatment.
I was not impressed at all with the treatment I recieved as a bariatric patient. I felt very uncomfortable and was made to feel ashamed of my weight.
I also used this hospital when I had plastc surgery in 2001. The treatment I got during this stay ( at 155lbs.) was enirely different. I don't know if the weight, type of surgery or area of the hospital was the reason. I was treated like an absolute queen and my every need was attended to quickly.
