Pitt County Memorial Hospital Hospital
It has a friendly feeling to it. Lots of Staff who don't mind stearing you in the right direction. One would think, that such a huge place would be caotic, with lots of people rushing past you. But that is just not the case there. It's like a well oiled machiene, thumping allong, not missing a beat. I was very happy with my service there und would recomment it to anyone.
I was confident that the staff would be attentive and more than competent in dealing with any complications that could have evolved from my surgery. The medical school has pioneered the "Greenville Gastric bypass" and has been doing research and following patients for many years. I was confident that the nurses and support staff had been well trained in looking for and attending to any potential problems.
The hospital was great with one exception whenever I was moved from one area to another it was like they tried to run your bed into walls. They should give driving tests to any person that is going to move beds. Goijng to my room from recovery I was RAMMED into a door jamb and it hurt enough to bring tears to my eyes.
A friend of mine spent almost two weeks in Greenville with her father who had open heart surgery. I asked her if she had a good expeience with the staff and she said everyone was awesome. She even asked if they put something in the drinking water because every single person and I mean everyone was great. I could not have said it better myself. Every single person on the staff from house keeping to my surgeon was wonderful.
