He had a very relaxed and freindly manner. Very responsive to questions. He addressed all issues honestly. His office staff was nice. The person who handles the insurance piece (TERRY)is just AWESOME. I called her sooooo many times before I was even a patient. She helped me find a PCP, and has just been GREAT.

My first impression of Dr.Wetter was that he was so young looking! He was very nice, and very informative. He answered all my questions before I was given the chance to ask them. His staff has been good. I know they are really busy working all the cases that come through there so I am just being patient as i possible can!! Good things come to those who wait,,,right? Dont get me wrong,,,I still call EVERYDAY just so they dont forget about me...i guess i just wanted to be approved that day and given a surgery date--THAT DAY! uhh yea,,,shurrrr!!!
Dr.Wetter is all about making a YOU making the lifelong commitment. If you are not willing to make a commitment to changing your diet and daily exercise then dont bother with this. He reminds you that this is only a tool to "help you". If you cant commit to these changes for the rest of your life (which in the long run is to your benefit)--then dont bother. At least thats how I interpreted it. Overall, I thought he is was very knowlegable in the work he does. He definitly adressed the statistics of the surgeries and the risks. It wasnt anything I hadnt already read here at this site. But at least he hadnt left that out. Well I gotta call the insurance now, i will keep you updated for sure! I would like to hear from ANYONE for support so email me! =)

Dr. Wetter is a very nice man and excellent surgeon. He's willing to spend as much time as necessary to answer questions. As nervous as I was at times b/4 surgery, thinking about him made me relax a little. My surgery went smoothly, I took no pain meds beyond 24hours afer surgery, was able to sleep on my side the 3rd night and generally feel great! I'd recommend him 100%!

Great Dr and friendly staff.

Before and after care program.

Addressed the risk of surgery.

scale of 1 - 10 - 9 (didn't let my husband to be join me during the visit - turned out it was a mistake and he could have joined for question and answer period)

Most important to me surgical competence - I want to live!

I am a doctor myself, an internist, and the general rule is that the only thing that matters in choosing a surgeon is how many cases he/she has done and what the complication rate is. They are technicians, primarily and it is worth putting up with a rude or bossy surgeon if they have done the procedure many times and have a low complication rate.

All that being said, Dr. Wetter is actually very gentle and welcoming. He spent an hour with me and was thorough in reviewing the risks and benefits of surgery. I'm happy with my choice.

Dr. Wetter is a perfectionist. He gives excellent care. My impressin of him has not changed. His office staff is very caring. I did not like that before the surgery he kept telling me to "quit pigging out", I didn't think I was.(but now I know I did).He doesn't emphasize aftercare much, I mean he tells you to come back, but he didn't tell me the importance of it. He addressed the risk of surgery quite well. I was so large that I thought for sure I would die during surgery, but he kept telling me I would be fine. I would definately rate him a "10". You need to have both.

My first impression was when I saw him at an orientation and felt "this man is going to change my life." When he ended up being the surgeon assigned to me, I felt positive about him. His bedside manner is not the best, but he is a good surgeon with an excellent reputation. He honestly addresses the risks and need for behavioral changes. He was very negative when I had difficulty losing 10% of my weight before surgery, but we got past it after the first "scolding". I would trust him to do my surgery, without hesitation, but don't look for him to handle anything on an emotional level.

First impression is that Dr. Legha is competent and knowledgable. My first impression has not changed over the short time I have been in his care. His support staff and the staff of the whole bariatric group are hard-working and available. I don't really have any dislikes concerning Dr. Legha. Future patients of his should know that he is very straight-forward about risks and possibilities. The whole bariatric group at Kaiser emphasizes aftercare as the most important tool in all of this, and I have to agree. They have a very highly structured aftercare program at Kaiser. Dr. Legha and the others addressed the risks involved with the surgery and afterwords honestly and straightfoward. I would rate them overall as efficient and knowledgable and dedicated to what they do. I feel surgical competence is most important, but Dr. Legha is competent in both that and his bedside manner.
