Appointment scheduled for the beginning of March.

I had my surgery schedule for the begining of July, but I needed to reschedule it. I called them and have left several messages. I am not sure what is going on. I was never able to get a direct answer regarding my insurance coverage from them.

CHANGED SURGEONS TO DR. ESTAKHRI, LIVERMORE
Wonderful people!!!

I really like Dr. Wetter. He's very straight forward, and gives me all the info I need. The only thing that has changed since I met him, is my feeling toward the staff. They have had a lot of change over, and that has been very hard on making sure you paperwork is handled in a timely fashion. I think when the dust settles though, it will be a smooth transtion. Everybody seems to get along weel, and it just takes time to find your comfort, in a new position. I think in the long run, his office staff will be fine ... We are just the first people through the transtion, we have to be patient. Dr. Wetter is a God sent. He believes stongly in the support group, and aftercaer programs, which leads me to believe he truely wants you to succeed. Not only in weight loss, but in life. He went over all the risks of surgery, and made sure that you know what you are getting into. Overall I would rate Dr. Wetter a 10, and the staff an 8

My Impression of Dr Foster was good.I first met her at Stanford medical center.Dr Foster answered most of my questions and gave me a clear picture of the surgery on my first consultation.I put her name into google to see what I could find out about her.I basicly checked her education and stuff like that.I was looking to make sure there were no negative articles about her,And actually found a very encouraging and positive piece written about her.Dr. Foster Left Stanford while I was working on all the pre-surgery requirements and Joined the Thinnerfuture program. Her move to
thinnerfuture made it easier for me because now her group had a contract with my insurance.Stanford didn't have a contact with my insurance so I had to go through the appeals process just to continue to see Dr Foster. The office staff at thinner future is nice.
They put up with me calling all the time.I was Little(ok a lot) nervous about some insurance issues pre-op and kept calling or emailing. There were a couple of things that slipped through the cracks as far as what I needed to have done before surgery.I gotta call from My Doctor's office the FRiday evening before my tuesday morning surgery asking me where I had my OTHER Ekg.I was never aware that I needed 2.At Any rate it was friday so I could do nothing before monday. It was a good thing I had been admitted into the emergency room a month before.I was able to go to the Hospital and get a copy of the ekg done in the Emergency room.I guess this was all sort of good because it kept my mind off the actual surgery.I didn't get nervous until being wheeled into the Operating room.
Dr Foster gave me a complete of all the risks and explained to me that I may not be able to have the operation done laparoscopicly. She had also made herself clear on the fact that She would not do the surgery(this was in the beginning) unless I started exercising and worked on losing about 50 lbs.(to make the surgery less Dangerous).I wanted it bad enough so I did what I was supposed to do.I am now 4 days post op.I feel good for somebody who just got out of the hospital 2 days ago.The surgery WAS done laparoscopicly.I never really had any bad pain. Some minor nagging pains.I get a little pain when I cough.I haven't had much of an appetite which I am told is normal at first. The worst thing was the thirst I had the day of surgery after surgery and Not being able to drink anything. well thats about it for now.One last thing, the hospital bed I was in was NIce and big.I really liked it.They just need to find a place for all the bed and tv controls.Well gotta go time for lunch :)

he was kind and seemed helpful but didnt follow through very quickly on necessary items and never answered my email. He required around 1,500 up front. that is my 20 percent of the surgeons fees.

I loved Pamela Foster from the first time that I met her. I met four other doctors before her, but Dr.Foster was the only one that I felt safe with.

I first met Dr. Foster while she was still at Stanford. Since then she has joined a practice in Burlingame that specializes in Bariatric Surgery. My first impression of her is that she was very young; however she has a way of looking at you while you are speaking that lets you know she is really listening. Her youth also hides how very experienced she is. She is very thorough in her approach to the surgery. Some would say she is tough; I found that she has very good reasons for having the requirements that she does. She likes to make sure that any medical issues are either taken care of or under control. She also believes in very extensive follow up post-op. She prefers that a client loses about 10% of their body weight prior to the surgery as a show of commitment. I don't believe she will perform surgery on a smoker, excessive drinker or drug user. All of these factors are very important in the success of her patients surgery. Dr. Foster inspires confidence in her patients. I will post more information after the surgery, but I have no doubt that all will go well.

I've met with him twice and my surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. I was referred to him by a friend who also went to hime based on a referral. I noticed he doesn't have any of his credentials listed, don't let that bother you. You can see them on thinnerfuture.com. He's very nice and genuine.

On my first visit with Dr. Wetter, I was instantly put to ease. His information and backgroung on the RNY, are out of this world! I am looking forward to my surgery on the 7th of January! Dr.Wetter is honest, and straight forward. He is gentle as well, with a bit of dry humor; but over all I would give him a ten! His staff is awesome! He, and the hospital have a great after care set up. Support meetings, etc. I have already gone to them, just to see how it is. I recommend that to anybody looking into the surgery. Wish me luck! Thank God for this site!
