Palms of Pasadena Hospital (COE) Hospital

Pressed the call light and they were at my door in a minute, not an ominous voice over the speaker saying "yes, can I help you" but a real face within moments at my bedside to find what I needed.

This hospital took good care of me and made me feel comfortable

Everything was great. The surgery staff was great. I only had one problem at night and the nurse would not give me any pain meds. But it was taken care of in the AM.

The care was poor. there were times I would wait and wait for a nurse after using the call button. I would find myself unplugging the device that gave me meds and IV so that I could use the restroom as the help never arrived. At first I was placed in ICU with a lady that was loud and never allowed me too sleep. I had to complain in order to be moved out of that room to another one where the other patient was great. The attitudes of some nurses and aids was not acceptable to me.

I was concerned about going to this hospital, I know it has been here for many many years but had no idea what to expect. I was so suprised how considerate evryone was and felt very special. I hvae been in other hospitals locally,this one far outweighs the others.

My surgery experience was wonderful, the staff was wonderful, I loved it all except the fact that the night nurses were a bit slow in responding at times which can be a real inconvenience especially when you are depending on them to help you get up to go to the bathroom and such.

The biggest problem I had was that some of the staff(those who didn't generally work with the WLS patients) were very insensitive....

I absolutly loved Palms...the staff were awesome.

If you choose Dr Rehnke (the greatest) or Palms of Pasadena...and you get to the OR holding...tell Ann and Carlos...Kathy said hello!!!

The nurses were extremely nice and caring. They bring a an extra bed into your private room and encourage a family member to stay the entire time.
