I was very pleased with Dr. Keith and I am still very pleased with him and his office.

He is a very detailed and considerate doctor. I felt he went above and beyond to insure my safety and health during the surgery.

He is a very personable doctor. He answers your questions honestly and without hesitating.
His staff is very nice and helpful. They are very emphatic about follow up support groups and exercise and healthy living.
I wouldn't have anyone else do my surgery. The hospital he uses is not in my PPO network so I had to pay quite a bit up front.
I believe that surgical competence is the most important factor in a surgeon, I am an RN, but if their bedside manner is poor, it would be hard for them to convince anyone to climb on the operating table.
Oh I misunderstood the question. I think his surgical competence is why I chose him. Hope his bedside manner will be ok.
I would rate him as the best Bariatric Surgeon I've ever heard of.

Dr. Keith seemed very cautious to me. He wanted to make sure that I was ready for the surgery and all that it entailed. The office staff is very friendly and informative.

The nurses are wonderful. The support stafff including the chaplain's staff and lab services are great.

I met with several surgeons before choosing Dr. Keith. In my opinion, Dr. Keith was the most professional surgeon I interviewed in the OKC area. He is respectful, sensitive to obese issues, puts the decision in the hands of the patient, and supports the individual.
During my insurance approval period Dr. Keith's staff were not very helpful. When called I would get a "canned" answer without them taking the time to review my specific issues. However, once the insurance approval came though the staff had a 180 turn - they have proactively called me, set up appointments, been very flexible, etc.
Aftercare is stressed tremendously, which is something I looked for in my surgeon. In addition to the aftercare program, Dr. Keith emphasizes pre-op exercise and diet to assist with your aftercare routine.

Very informative. Really came to like Dr Keith alot he's caring and sensitive.

His staff is nice, a little young and his insurance rep didn't seem to be very experienced in dealing aggressivly with insurance companies. Also be ready for cost of food/supplements and appointments with his dietitian(who doesn't file ins). This cought me off guard a little.

He is very adamant about attending group support meetings, using the internet and coming to return visits. His followup care will consist of a 2 wk followup and 3,6,9 month appointments.

He will address all the risks of surgery and be ready to hear this surgery is only a "tool" with everyone of your meetings with him and his pre-surgical evaluations appointments you attend.

I think he was a great Dr., very informative and caring. I think he has a great pre-surgical evaluations program and I really like his hospital staff. Overall I had a very good experience.

Dr. Keith is an awesome doctor! He is very honest and up front, he will not sugar coat the procedure or any of the possiable side effects just to comfort you. If you want the to be told the way it is and the way it will be, he will shoot you nothing but the truth. The office and support staff that Dr. Keith has hired are second to none, in my oppinion they are the best! Dr. Keith and his staff make you realize that this is not a cure, but rather a tool to help you become more healthy. Dr Keith has set up a complete program. He is not just a surgeon, his office has a complete and structured plan to help you become successful with this procedure. Dr. Keith will not b/s you, he will tell you all of the risks and benefits up front, and he will remind you that it is a tool, not a cure.
Dr. Keith is all anyone could ever ask for in a surgeon, he is very intellegent, personable, and best of all honest. I don't know how you could rate a doctor as wonderful as he is, but I will say that there is no one else that I would of let do this operation on me. The only complaint that I had is his office location in realtionship to my home, but it was worth the drive to get the best there is.

My nurses were all really wonderful! Especially Jerry & Duane. Sandy was also a life saver. I had a little trouble with the radiology dept, they did my barium swallow & then ran off & forgot me!! for 45 minutes, finally someone returned me to my room! thank you to the lady that rescued me!

My first encounter with Dr. Keith was at the seminar. I thought his attitude was a little dry, but at consultation, he was different. He was honest and told me what I could expect from surgery and that it's not a cure but a tool. For his honesty, I thank him. He is very gifted and I appreciate his wisdom, having to deal weight issues himself. After I left the hospital I returned for 6 weeks follow-up, then again at 3 months, 6 months, I'll be having a 9 months follow-up soon, and I'm sure again in 1 year. After that I don't know. I've met with the dietitian because my protein was low. I think his office and staff have a good aftercare program. I really enjoy the support group meetings. If I had to do this experience again, I'd say yes and I'd definitely ask for Dr. Keith. Kudos Dr. Keith and your Staff!!

My first impression of Dr. Keith was that he was a very attentive listener and answered any and all questions my husband and I had. As I have only seen him for one office visit my opinion has not and hopefully will not change. His office staff in my opinion could be a little more informative. When you first go in you are given information that says "DO NOT CALL". If you didnt, you wouldnt know anything. As I was determined to have my surgery by the end of the year, I might have been anxious.
